About this listing
Nice apartment with patio on the ground floor of a beautiful building in one of the most beautiful areas of Rome in the Monti district. A short walk from the Colosseum, a neighborhood made up of narrow streets, bistros, boutiques, a strategic area for walking throughout the city or by underground. The apartment is furnished in modern style, consisting of 2 bedrooms, one double and one with 2 single beds, a kitchen and a bathroom design. Very quiet and with a lovely patio where to enjoy the cool breeze of Rome called "Ponentino"

We are very satisfied with our stay. The appartement looked well and everything worked. The airconditioning worked very well and we had warm water. The wifi was okay. The shower however was not in the best condition as the water did not came out of the shower head as it should be. Furthermore we had clean sheets and the beds were okay.
We were very happy to stay a few hours longer as we depart at 21:00. We could leave our bagage at the appartement for the whole day. This was no problem for Valentina. Thanks for that.
Pros: The apartment was in a good location, matched the photos, and had hot water. Beds were very comfortable. Cons: The apartment had a strong mildew smell and the bathroom smelled strongly of urine despite my best efforts to clean it. The shower has a half wall and it leaks, so the bathroom floor was always wet. We used the towels provided to keep the floor dry. The wifi stopped working our first night so Anna brought a new modem. The new one worked but was so slow we couldn't load web pages, directions, or make a wifi call. It was virtually unusable and we had to rely on our cellular data.
We never met Valentina, only her friend/business partner Anna and her son. This is not Valentina's apartment, it's a rental business they're running, which on the plus side means they were responsive to our needs (like when wifi crashed).
Valentina told me they provide an airport transfer but was not forthcoming with answers when I asked who this person was, if he would speak English, etc. I was hesitant but agreed to it based on reviews on Airbnb. We had different drivers to and from the airport so I don't think the reviews are helpful. Both drivers were very nice but they're just taxi drivers.
Thanks Valentina for having us stay. Apartment was great and in a perfect location to walk to everything. Your friend that met us was very helpful and accommodating. Everything was a breeze ;) thank you
Very nice place, can sleep 4 very easily. We booked this place for location and because it had a washer and we wanted to pack light for our trip. The location was great, really close to the main train station and the colosseum. We were able to walk everywhere we wanted including the Vatican. The washer was great but it was difficult to dry the clothes because it's a bottom floor unit and the place we generally cold that the close would never really dry. Other than that the amenities were as described and there are plenty of restaurants around.
sorry but this is not true....I never received your messages you can check about it on airbnb messages..you wrote that you will arrive at 11,45 at the airport so I guess a couple of hours to reach the flat but you went to lunch so we waited for you many times...you did not arrive when you said and I had to back to work...any way i tried to solve the problem sending a friend of mine but she has a collegue of mine waiting for me at the office before to come to you!
The flat is a really great space in a wonderful area of Rome. Spacious and modern while also very clean! Also very close to major attractions, especially the Colosseum!
This was our second Rome airbnb stay and the only thing positive to say is its in a great location. The apartment is well used, smells of mold, and needs upkeep. We had to purchase toilet paper, the door knob fell off every time it was used, and we were without wireless for the first day and night. Valentina fixed the wireless issue timely but it was hard to get in touch with her due to the lack of internet. Would not return or recommend.
Hi Rebecca, I really disappointed about your review...Internet did not work for one day but the problem was in the entire area for the phone company device but immediately I came with another modem to provide to you this service, the communication was great but you never tried to contact me, it is winter and the weather was not so fine so the flat is in the ground floor in the courtyard it's normal that it is a bit humid , toilet paper is furnished only for the first day then the guests have to buy it ....so your comment is not realible because I provide Internet and I checked that it's perfectly works...reviews have to be realistic and not depending on you mood or taste!!
