This newly finished bijou studio flat is adjacent to the owner's home and art studio and has an independent entrance. It is wonderfully secluded, yet situated in the heart of London's culturally rich South Bank. Beautifully detailed and designed, this unique space sits in the back garden of our Georgian terraced house. Private, en suite bathroom with shower.
The studio is well appointed with all new appliances. The kitchenette includes a microwave, refrigerator kettle, sink and is suitable for preparing basic ready-meals, coffee and tea but is not appropriate for full scale cooking; double bed, cable tv and wifi; iron + ironing board. We can provide you with a pay-as-you-go mobile phone for local calls.
Sheets and towels are provided. For stays longer than 1 week, we arrange for a cleaner to come refresh the flat. For your personal laundry there is a launderette nearby.
We consider ourselves very lucky to be in such a fabulous location. This vibrant neighborhood has numerous restaurants and shops and Borough Food Market is a 15 minute walk. The cultural amenities of the South Bank are all literally just outside the door (Tate Modern, Old Vic Theater and National Theater, the London Eye etc..) and we are a short walk across the Thames from Westminster, the West End and Covent Garden. We are 2 blocks from the river path- a truly desirable location!
London's vast transportation network spans out from Waterloo Station which is 5 minutes away.
We spent the most wonderful time in London in Anne's amazing and comfortable studio. The place is super clean and well-designed. It was a really great experience to stay there.
How lucky were we that our first Airbnb stay was in Anne and Johns apartment. They are wonderful hosts and understand what the traveller to London wants. It was exactly as the description given but the extra touches such as the quality biscuits and tea, flowers and beautiful soap were so nice. The bed was very comfy, an excellent shower and it was spotlessly clean. We were pleased to meet both Anne and John but then we were able to come and go independently which we very much appreciated.
Thanks Anne and John and if we were lucky enough to visit London again we would want to stay with you.
John was great host, explaining everything ,TV ,heating etc. He was available but as we had no problems we didn't need to call on him.
The studio was as described ,slightly bigger than we expected. Very nicely done with all we needed.
The location could not have been better .Very pleasant and convenient .We could walk every where we wanted to go.
We didn't get to meet Anne in person, but she was very helpful and quick with emails. The studio was clean, which was very important for us. The fresh roses on the table was such a lovely touch and the location was perfect for touristing. Thank you, Anne and John.
Our host was for the weekend was perfect, meeting us at the allotted time and providing us with every thing we needed to know about the flat including the local wild life (neighbours cat) who incidentally we didn't meet. The flat was perfectly placed, with just a short 2 minute walk through a nice garden onto the Thames South bank path. Everything you required in a flat was provided, clean and cosy and definitely on the list for a return visit sooner rather than later.
Nice private flat in a very central location. Unbelievable, but we were able to walk from there to everything we wanted to see in London. Our host was friendly and informative and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We found ourselves leafing through her library of tourist's books and maps, which are kept on the shelf next to bed. We would recommend it to anyone who is visiting London for the first time.
A beautiful, private flat located in a fantastic spot. Anne is a fantastic host with lots of great advice on what to do and how to get there. Would def stay here again if I ever get back to London.
Our experience with Anne and John was wonderful ! The flat was clean, cheerful and in a great location. Very quiet also , which was nice. Would love to visit again someday !!!!!
A perfect flat in a very convenient location. Anne is warm-hearted host who goes out of her way to make her guests welcome and comfortable. When I visit London a next time I'd definitely love to stay here agin.
The location is excellent; superb walking distance from Waterloo station and we even walked to some tourist attractions like the London Bridge, Borough Market and Shakespeare's Globe. The apartment itself is excellent too, with a TV with so many channels to choose from, a hot shower, and much needed amenities like microwave, fridge, toaster, wifi, heater, maps, heated rack, towels, the whole works basically. John and Anne are really nice hosts and I'll definitely want to stay here again the next time I come back to London.
