I very much enjoyed my three day stay with Tine, Mario and their son. Their accommodations were as described and the only downside, at first, was the shared bathroom which soon became a nonissue as one felt like family within a short period of time. The highlight from my trip to Copenhagen was the long talks with this very bright and English articulate family. Being my first trip to the city I found their sharing of the fabric of Danish life more than worth the cost of the rental. This is a family that one very quickly wishes would become your friends for life...special people from a special city.
I had a terrific time in Copenhagen, and my experience staying with Tine and Mario was one of the biggest reasons why. They were both incredibly welcoming, very laid-back, and extremely easy and interesting to talk with.
This is the place to stay if the above appeals to you... and if you are interested in staying in an utterly unique location. Tine and Mario's home is in a small community that has the feel of a rural village, only within a 5-minute train ride of the middle of Copenhagen. This cluster of homes is set in a corner of the Danish railway maintenance yard. As Tine and Mario explained it to me, it was originally created to house the families of the railway's emergency rescue team; but as the size of this team dwindled, the railway started to rent out some of the houses (theirs among them). You reach this neighborhood by walking through a pedestrian tunnel underneath a set of railroad tracks; when you reach the end, you pop out into what feels like another world.
I loved the location, thoroughly enjoyed the company, and especially appreciated the freshly-baked hot rolls, as well as the daily weather report (with temperature indicated in Fahrenheit!) that Tine left outside my door each morning. I also appreciated their suggestions for additional things I might want to do, which added greatly to my visit.
One last thing, in case you are wondering: I really didn't notice any sounds from the passing trains the entire 4 days I was there.
We met Tine & Mario at their home and they explained how everything worked. Tine was very helpful and let us a folder with all kinds of wonderful places to visit and some interesting restaurants. The accomodation was as described and very clean. Big plus was the fresh home-made bread that we got every morning!
So, we had a wonderful stay and we would choose this place again!
This was my first time using AirBnB and what a wonderful experience. I am so glad it was with Tine and Mario. They were lovely hosts and their space was exactly what was portrayed in their photos. They were so kind and helpful, I want to thank them for such a great experience. The room was very spacious and set up nicely it had a fridge, coffee maker, tons of books on the city. Great room for 2 friends, comfortable beds and delicious baked bread in the morning. I will definitely stay here again when I return to lovely Copenhagen. Extra info... follow her directions EXACTLY! When she says "cross the street" make sure you "CROSS THE STREET!" this would have saved me a 2 mile walk. It is a great, quiet location and I can go on and on about it but bottom line, I was so fortunate to stay here and have a great first experience with using AirBnB and staying in this lovely house.
I can highly recomend staying with Tine and Mario! They are wonderful hosts - welcoming and very helpful! Their home is really nice, clean and cozy. The rental room is in the attic, with to beds, and a small living room - it's really homely and nice! I got fresh baked bread every day, and I even had a Nespresso machine in my room. Tine and Mario helped me a lot finding my way around Copenhagen, and they let me borrow one of their bicycles. This was my first experience with airbnb, and it was a great one!
Tine and Mario welcomed us very lovely. Tine showed us everything and explained what we could do in the city. The room was exactly as it is described. They brang every morning fresh bread and we felt very comfortable all the time. The room was very clean. The house is not in the center of the city but we used to take the bycicles which was enormous practical. So we had 5 minutes to reach the center. Thanks to Tine and Mario for you hospitaly!
Vanessa and I had a most lovely stay at Tine and Mario's home - Mario was away, but we got to meet the amazing Tine. She is kind, thoughtful, helpful and so so friendly. We had freshly baked bread with daily weather reports every morning which was such a thoughtful touch. The room was spacious and clean and I couldn't have asked for a comfier bed! So comfortable. The house itself is very clean and everywhere you go, you see Mario's fantastic and quirky art! The bathroom and shower were fine to use and they even provide shower gel, shampoo, conditioner and toothpaste. Tine gave lots of advice and help with getting around Copenhagen and suggested places to go. The only thing is that there is a bit of a walk to get into the city (15-20 minutes).
Thank you Tine for everything, you certainly made our stay an extremely pleasant one :).
