  • I don't even know where to start! My girlfriend and I thought that Saundra was an exceptional host: professional, knowledgeable, and affable. The home was absolutely beautiful, yet it still felt homey and welcoming. In the morning, the bathroom's soaking tub is drenched in sunlight and feels quite luxurious. Do note that the bathroom is split into a bathing room (tub + sink) and a water closet (just a toilet); convenient, but potentially surprising for anyone who hasn't seen that type of setup before.

The breakfast served to the room every morning was quite the treat. Fresh fruit, breads, yogurts, mmmm. We also enjoyed hanging out with the two friendly cats who popped in and took a couple naps by the window.

We would *highly* recommend Saundra and her home to anyone passing through San Francisco!!

  • It was a great stay at Saundra's house. The room was very big, cozy and nicely decorated. It is calm, with garden view, but centrally located in Castro. You can walk to all interesting neigbourhoods. Saundra and her son were awesome hosts. They had a list with their favourite restaurants and lots of tourist information and insider tips. We would go there again!

  • Had four special days in San Fran and one of the highlights was the opportunity to stay in Sondra's beautifully decorated Victorian home right in the middle of several historical San Fran areas. She was a warm and helpful host -a San Fran local with a wealth of historical knowledge. Breakfasts were beautifully presented with fresh fruit each morning. Would highly recommend this BnB.

  • Saundra est une hôte d'une discrétion, d'une gentillesse et d'une générosité incomparables. nous avons passé deux jours parfaits, dans ce quartier très central de SF, dans une maison décorée avec un goût irréprochable.

  • We had a lovely time with Saundra. She is a beautiful, warm person and you can feel that in her house. It was an ideal location and very easy to catch public transport. We also loved walking around the neighbourhood - beautiful architecture and a real buzz. The room itself is lovely and very spacious. I had a long soak in the bath which was great too! Very recommended.

  • This stay was our first Airbnb experience and it could not have been better. Saundra is a wonderful host. Communication with her before the stay was very easy and friendly. As soon as we arrived we felt very welcome and at home. Saundra was so helpful and attentive. She served a delicious breakfast with fresh fruit every morning. The room was spacious, beautifully decorated and had a lovely garden view. It was very quiet and the bed was comfi. We had our own bathroom, everything was spotlessly clean. The house is centrally located in one of San Francisco's most beautiful neighbourhoods. A lot of sights were within walking distance or reachable via public transport. We were really sad to leave Saundra's place and would definetely stay there again. Don't bother looking for any other place in San Fran, this really is home away from home! Thanks, Saundra!

    Response from Saundra:

You two are truly among the best guests ever. I too was sad to see you leave. There are people in the world who touch you, and you two have done so. Stay open and true to your passions; I promise I'll do the same!

I'm a working artist and mother in addition to hosting travelers. I love all of my jobs and engage in them with passion and dedication. I'm a born host, with an active social life, and welcome people into my home. My AirBNB experience has been utterly amazing, with guests expressing their gratitude for the environment, warm family atmosphere, engagement and helpfulness, and attention to detail such as breakfast, personal attention, and little luxuries. I believe I gain as much from the experience of hosting as my guests do from staying with us. Having traveled a fair amount, and stayed in pensiones and B&B's worldwide, I have a sense of what it's like to share someone's home. We are not a hotel, but a family home with lovely and comfortable accommodation and warm, engaged hosts. Welcome to our home.
