Interaction with Guests
We interact with our guests as much as they wish, completely respecting their privacy, and asking that they respect ours. We usually find that we have lots to share and learn from each other, and are delighted to share information about San Francisco's treasured sights, restaurants, markets, cafes, music venues, and the neighborhood.
Easy! We are located directly on bus lines and a 3 minute walk from a major train line. We know SF MUNI transit and encourage our guests to use it!
Welcome to our home. We're delighted to host you, answer your questions, make you feel comfortable, and fill you in on our favorite places to eat, shop, hike, and explore in San Francisco.
We are Saundra (mom) and Griffin (son, 17). You will be sharing our home with us, and we ask you to consider our need for privacy and family life. Though we do love to get to know our guests, so feel free to tell us more about yourselves and your travels while you're here. We ask you to keep drinking reasonable, refrain from smoking in the house and garden, and please, keep outside guests to pick-ups and drop-offs in the entry foyer.
You'll love lounging in your roomy bedroom suite overlooking the garden, as you eat your continental breakfast or enjoy afternoon tea or wine. Both bathrooms are available for your use - the upstairs bath, which is exclusively yours, has a tub, while the shower is in the downstairs bathroom.
Sorry, no kitchen or laundry privileges, however we can recommend the best markets and laundromats in the neighborhood.
While we have cats, they are strictly forbidden from the guest room out of concern for allergic guests. But watch out: they will sneak in and snuggle up if you let them!
Our three days at Saundra's beautiful house were absolutely perfect. Saundra was the perfect host, offering all the help we needed yet respecting our privacy. Saundra's home is extremely pretty and the room was exactly as advertised. The area is very nice, quiet but close to all the nice neighborhoods such as Castro, Haight, Hayes Valley etc. we highly recommend staying there.
Me and my teenage daughter received a warm welcome from Saundra. Her home is beautiful and her creative view is everywhere. We were happy in our space-with a lovely view of her garden and a great bed! Saundra brought us a lovely breakfast each day and she helped me w restaurant advice and public transportation. Our trip was delightful and we hope to return to this Airbnb soon.
This was a most fantastic stay in San Francisco with Saundra and AirBnb. Saundra is a generous host and the Garden View room was quiet, comfortable, spacious, and beautiful. The location is right in the middle of a few fantastic neighborhoods and offers very easy access to most neighborhoods in San Francisco because of it's location. I highly recommend staying with Saundra and hope that I get to stay again on my next visit to the city!
What can one say? Saundra has a stunning offering situated in a wonderfully convenient location. The bedroom was as described and as pictured - no photographic tricks here! There are two or three bus lines one minute away and the N-Judah light rail line - connecting with Golden Gate Park, the ocean, downtown, BART and Caltrain - is five or six minutes away. And if that weren't enough, Saundra is the quintessentially gracious host. Can't recommend this highly enough.
Saundra was a wonderful host! She made sure we had everything we needed and provided us with all the information we needed to find some really cool spots in the city. She gave us the best sushi recommendation for our first night in SF. We felt welcome as guests in her house and there were no problems sharing the space.
Saundra's house is just beautiful and in a very safe/clean part of town. The provided room is luxurious-- comfy bed, overlooks a well-groomed garden, and big.
The provided breakfast was a great start to the day.
Saundra's house was my favorite house I saw in all of SF and I would stay there again in a heartbeat.
My husband and I had a great time in San Fran and staying at Saundra's! We loved our room, it was spacious and cute just as the pictures showed. She provided a great little breakfast to start our day as well. Saundra was awesome giving us hiking recommendations and tips on transportation. The location is great, very accessible to public transportation and close to cafes/places to eat. We loved the city and the ability to walk or get anywhere easily. Highly recommend Saundra's place!
Our stay with Saundra was fantastic. She was extremely welcoming and provided us with tons of information on what to do around the area including a welcome packet in the room. Saundra was also very accommodating and went above and beyond to work with our schedules. The room itself was very spacious (a lot larger than expected) and bright. Everything was extremely clean and we loved the beautiful bathtub after a full day of exploring the city. Saundra also provided us with delicious breakfast each morning consisting of warm pastries, fresh fruit, and yogurt. Location was perfect as we were able to walk to the Mission District, Lower Haight, and Dolores Park. Public transit was also very convenient. I would highly recommend staying with Saundra and am looking forward to coming back for our next trip!

I'm a working artist and mother in addition to hosting travelers. I love all of my jobs and engage in them with passion and dedication. I'm a born host, with a very active life, and welcome people into my home.
My AirBNB experience has been utterly amazing, with guests expressing their gratitude for the environment, warm family atmosphere, engagement and helpfulness, and attention to detail such as breakfast, personal attention, and little luxuries. I believe I gain as much from the experience of hosting as my guests do from staying with us.
Having traveled a fair amount, and stayed in pensiones and B&B's worldwide, I have a sense of what it's like to share someone's home. We are not a hotel, but a family home with lovely and comfortable accommodation and warm, engaged hosts. Welcome to our home.
