Interaction with Guests
We interact with our guests as much as they wish, completely respecting their privacy, and asking that they respect ours. We usually find that we have lots to share and learn from each other, and are delighted to share information about San Francisco's treasured sights, restaurants, markets, cafes, music venues, and the neighborhood.
We love our neighborhood, and take pride in sharing it. We're a residential area with dozens of restaurants, cafes, small independent stores scattered throughout. Welcome to our home. We're delighted to host you, answer your questions, make you feel comfortable, and fill you in on our favorite places to eat, shop, hike, and explore in San Francisco.
We are Saundra, Griffin and Martin. You will be sharing our home with us, and we ask you to consider our need for privacy and family life. Though we do love to get to know our guests, so feel free to tell us more about yourselves and your travels while you're here. We ask you to keep drinking reasonable, refrain from smoking in the house and garden, and please, keep outside guests to pick-ups and drop-offs in the entry foyer.
If possible, please no arrivals after 10:30 pm. We need our beauty sleep.
You'll love lounging in your roomy bedroom suite overlooking the garden, as you eat your continental breakfast or enjoy afternoon tea or wine. Both bathrooms are available for your use - the upstairs bath, which is exclusively yours, has a tub, while the shower is in the downstairs bathroom, which we all share.
Sorry, no kitchen or laundry privileges, however we can recommend the best markets and laundromats in the neighborhood.
While we have cats, they are strictly forbidden from the guest room out of concern for allergic guests. But watch out: they will sneak in and snuggle up if you let them.
The room was exactly as listed...large, sunny, beautiful and clean with a view out onto a "magical" garden. There was filtered water upon our arrival and access to coffee (i.e. from a french press) and tea, 24-7. Saundra was extremely helpful in providing information about getting around the city. She was so very accommodating to all of our needs.
Lastly the continental breakfast was scrumptious...fresh bread or pastry, fresh fruit and yoghurt every morning.
This was truly an exceptional "first" experience on Airbnb. I am hooked.
Our stay at Sunny Luxury Garden View was awesome.
Saundra is an excellent host. We were able to experience the neighborhoods of San Francisco along with the tourist areas of San Francisco. She recommended neighborhood coffee shops, restaurants, and areas to shop/view that met our preferences. This made our trip to SF extra special.
Saundra was very accommodating and very easy to connect with.
Staying in the neighborhood with Saundra’s knowledge of the area totally made this trip one of the best experiences we have ever had.
I thoroughly enjoyed my stay: the room was beautiful-indeed the whole home was beautiful. Saundra has exquisite taste and adds the small aesthetic touches that mean a lot to me-like the morning breakfast left quietly outside my door at the time I had requested-The fresh fruit was in an array of colours, perfectly sliced and laid out on beautiful pottery-plus fresh local market bread sliced and toasted....and the garden is just like in the photos as was the room itself. The location was perfect for getting around on public transport and Saundra was helpful in making suggestions for places to go and see and eat and shop. I also loved the cats!...missing my own
We loved our time in San Fran - and we loved our time staying with Saundra. Nothing was too much trouble, we were made to feel exceptionally welcome.
The room was delightful (as was the whole house) and it was exactly as advertised - or possibly even better than advertised. The location was perfect and was an easy base to navigate from.
We give it our highest recommendation.
Saundra was a wonderful and attentive host, who gladly shared her knowledge about her local neighborhood and San Francisco at large.
The location in Castro couldn't have been better. Close to some of San Francisco's fantastic restaurants and cafés.
Sunny Luxury Garden View has our warmest recommendations.
Our host made us feel most welcome. She was extremely helpful and pleasant. The description was completely accurate and just what we expected. As we explored the neighbourhood we found we liked it very much. It met our needs.

About the Host, Saundra
I'm a working artist and mother in addition to hosting travelers. I love all of my jobs and engage in them with passion and dedication. I'm a born host, with a very active life, and welcome people into my home.
My AirBNB experience has been utterly amazing, with guests expressing their gratitude for the environment, warm family atmosphere, engagement and helpfulness, and attention to detail such as breakfast, personal attention, and little luxuries. I believe I gain as much from the experience of hosting as my guests do from staying with us.
Having traveled a fair amount, and stayed in pensiones and B&B's worldwide, I have a sense of what it's like to share someone's home. We are not a hotel, but a family home with lovely and comfortable accommodation and warm, engaged hosts. Welcome to our home.
