This was only my second airbnb experience but it could not have exceeded my expectations more. The room was absolutely beautiful, very quiet, and Saundra couldn't have been nicer or more hospitable. The location is great as was the breakfast. I highly recommend Saundra and her exquisite house. Her cats are also adorable!
This was our first experience staying in someone's room for airbnb, and it was great! Saundra is the perfect host. She's very welcoming and responsive but you still have tons of privacy in her beautifully decorated home. What we really loved was the location. The place was walking distance to a bunch of great neighbourhoods in SF for food, drinks, shopping, etc.
I really feel I REALLY lucked out with my first airbnb experience. Saundra has a wonderful set up which offers privacy - a generous guest bedroom suite and beautiful dedicated bathroom. Along with a lovely continental breakfast and friendly helpful advice and information about the great city of San Francisco, which all made for an excellent stay. I'll definitely be back!
Our stay with Saundra was better than we could have imagined. She is a great host and her house is beautiful.
This, my first experience with airbnb could not have been better. My room was everything I hoped it would be: beautiful, spacious, very clean, excellent location,a lovely garden, great breakfast, easy access to bus and streetcar.Saundra was outstanding. She was welcoming, friendly, sharing tips on transportation, a very good map of the city, suggestions for restaurants and places to see. I am especially grateful for her suggestion to visit an art installation I would have missed had she not suggested it.That art visit will always be a memory for me when I think of San Francisco and I thank Saudra for it. As a walker my primary means of getting around is by foot ;she helped me select safe, interesting routes.
We found our room delightful and our hostess charming and accommodating. The garden view provided a great way to begin and end each day. The location was convenient to public transportation and to much of the history of this great city. Great food and quaint coffee shops were close-at-hand. I especially liked the atrium, a great quiet place to read and relax with one, or both, of the cats curled up on my lap. We both fully enjoyed our time at 22 Castro.
Saundra's house is large, beautifully decorated, and adorned with her mainly abstract art, which has a calming influence. It's very convenient for central SF (15 minutes by Muni tram) and close to the Haight area and other areas of interest. I found it very comfortable and extremely quiet at night. Saundra went out of her way to be helpful with recommendations about places to go. I was made to feel at home and never felt watched or monitored, and could come and go as I pleased. Be aware that the bedroom gets a little cold at night in winter. Although guests are expected to keep to their own area (top floor bed-sitting room, lavatory, bathroom and TV room), the space allotted to them is generous. I did my airport transfers by Super Shuttle, which worked well and was about a third the cost of a taxi.
Great host, very friendly and hospitable; living/sleeping room and bathroom are big and very clean. Nights are quiet, althogh the house is located within the central city; in summary: highly recommended location. However, parking is a problem, and it can take a long time to find a slot at no charge about 10 min away from the guest house. Buying a city pass is a reasonable investment, public transport is very good.
Staying with Saundra was great. My wife and I flew into San Fran for our 25th anniversary and stayed at the Saundra's Bed and Breakfast place. Superb Superb Superb. Very Gracious host with a ton of ideas to do and her place is very central located to bus lines but in a very quiet street. Communication before our arrival was very timely. We will always be staying with Saundra when we come back to San Fran.
Warm, friendly, helpful and welcoming would best describe our host Saundra during our week stay at her home. We felt very much at home staying with Saundra and would stay again with her in the future.
