About This Listing
You will really appreciate the safety, comfort and convenience of staying in my apartment. I live in a very clean and modern apartment that is quiet and relaxing. This area is very cool and there are lot's of cafés, bars, and shops all around.
SEMI PRIVATE stay, sleep while using my Shoji Screen room divider.
The most spectacular view of Manhattan!!!! You need to see it.
Also I've decided to rent to ladies only.
This is a great spot for the independent traveller that is out exploring the city during the day, I work from home so appreciate privacy by 10:00 am at the latest! I did change around the furniture a little so the pic of the living room is a little different.
***There is a big shoji screen for your privacy while you sleep****
Since I work from home it's understood that I need privacy for work during normal business hours. Therefore I appreciate my guests to be out sight seeing by no later than 10:00am and to return after 6pm. Weekends are not as strict, you can leave a little later and return home during day to drop of shopping/change for going out at night. But I am always here to answer any questions if you need anything while you are exploring. If you need tips or what to see while visiting, I can help with that too.
Hot water kettle for tea and fridge for storing snacks.
Interaction with Guests
I usually run in the early AM and in the evening can be out with friends, so you might not see me so much! You are welcome to join me for a run also!
But if I have a big project, I might be home in the evenings designing!
Restaurants, Cafés, bars, vintage clothing stores, Ice Cream shops, boutiques!!! This area is the coolest in NYC!
If you want to venture out of the east village you will be in walking distance of Thompson Square Park, Lower East Side, SoHo, NoHo, West Village, Bowery, Greenwich Village, Union Square, Gramacy Park, China Town, Little Italy and the water by FDR park.
All public transportation is easily accessible.

Other Things to Note
You're stay here also helps me with funding for my design brand. It's a benefit to both of us, I provide a clean and safe place for an affordable price, and your stay here helps me pay for all the materials I need to buy! Pretty cool?!
Please do not wear shoes inside the apartment, take them off as soon as you enter.
Smoking isn't allowed on Balcony.
I recycle, so any plastic bottles, paper, metal can be rinsed and recycled.
I also re-use shopping bags.
Everyday when you leave the apartment, just fold up the sheets etc and put on one corner of couch, and fold back shoji screen. I'll show you how.
Please don't hesitate to ask for tips on bars, restaurants etc...!
it was my first time with airbnb and I must say this was an awesome experience! Christine's apartment has a magnificent view of Manhattan and Brooklyn Bridge, and in walking distance you are able to reach the Subway for almost anywhere! Her place is very clean and neat and you have all the essentials of your stay! Christine is friendly, resourceful and always ready to help, which totally helps me feel like home right away! I'll recommend Christine's apartment if you are searching for somewhere decent, convenient and at reasonable price! :)
Christine's home was lovely and it was a pleasure staying with her. She is the perfect guide when it comes to exploring the East Village and going at the right restaurants. I really enjoyed my stay at Christine's place and being able to take my breakfast with a view on Williamsburg Bridge and uptown NYC at the same time played a big part in that. I would recommend staying at Christine's place if you're looking for a great location at walking distance from Soho & Brooklyn and with a great host.
Christine was wonderful and accommodating. The space was exactly as described and what I expected. She's not joking about the view and the coziness of the screen she uses in the space to give you privacy, both are awesome. The view though, it was perfect to take in on evenings after I came back. Christine was very welcoming, made me feel right at home and we had some great conversations. Really glad I stayed at her place.
Christine was very friendly and welcoming. She gave me recommendations for places to explore in the city. She replied quickly to every message. It was pleasant to communicate with her. The apartment was clean and the view is, as described, amazing!
Christine is a was very nice, friendly, helpful and amazing host! She made me feel right at home! Great apartment with really cool professional art work around her studio! She also takes interest in you and gives you advices of great restaurants and sites to visit.
Her place is very clean and the couch is very comfortable. Plus the view is breathtaking.
If you're looking for a place to make you feel part of this city, this is definitely the place to be.

About the Host, Christine
I LOVE this city and so happy that you will get to see it! I truly enjoy being an airbnb host because I know how hard NYC can be to travel to. It's sad that there aren't enough options for people to stay on the cheap, so I'm happy to offer my place to make it a little easier. I travel all over the world and know how nice it is to feel comfortable and safe where you sleep, I'm lucky to provide that! I'm a designer, runner, and avid cook. I've lived here 16 years, but grew up a few miles away (could not wait to live here to attend college!)
