A unique, earth sheltered, 600 sq ft sun-filled residence with a rustic flair. Close to Cornell University and Ithaca College. Rural but close to town, dog-friendly, private, and completely furnished.

Now equipped with an energy efficient heat pump, warm and toasty in winter, cool in summer.

The space
The FIeldstone Earth sheltered house is uniquely beautiful, environmentally friendly, and energy efficient. South facing and filled with natural light, the house is cool in summer and snuggly warm in winter.

If you like to sit under the stars by a campfire, see colorful birds and fragrant wildflowers, stroll thru crisp autumn leaves, or enjoy a lovely snowfall, Fieldstone is truly a house for all seasons!

Guest access
Guests have access and private use of the entire house, patio, and yard. We also offer use of our walking trail, which is great for two and four legged guests alike!

There is one queen sized bed, and one full-sized sized futon, and a twin size loft bed. Also, a full bathroom separate from the sleeping/living areas with a walk-in shower and a laundry room with full sized washer and dryer. Linens, blankets, pillows, and towels are provided.

Close to Cornell, Ithaca College and all of the spectacular lakes, wineries and scenery of the Finger Lakes region!

Other things to note
Simply enjoy....take a walk down through the field, have a campfire at the fire pit. Please note I no longer provide firewood, charcoal, and lighter fluid. However, there are plenty of places locally where you can pick up some (Agway, Lowe’s, Home Depot, etc).
Take advantage of all the beautiful areas around Ithaca. In 2019 I completed my own earth sheltered home on the property. If you’d like a tour, please don’t hesitate to ask.
