About this listing
This room is flooded with sunlight and has it's own private balcony overlooking Parc Avenue in the Mile End. There is a comfy Queen bed, large closet and dresser so lots of room for you and your stuff.
We have a beautiful room with a private balcony onto Park Avenue in a spacious apartment in the Mile End. The room has a comfortable queen bed, as well as a huge closet and teak dresser with mirror. Shared bathroom and kitchen. Our place is huge, providing everyone with a lot of privacy, which is great for us and you alike! It is an un-renovated gem, full of original mouldings and wood floors, furnished with many vintage pieces.
Within a 5 minute walk of our place you will find both St.Viateur Bagels and Fairmount Bagels, Cafe Olympico, Club Social, and all the other landmarks of this fabulous part of Montreal. Bars and restaurants galore, all kinds of art and music are happening around here all the time. The 80 bus departs every 10 minutes from in front of our house to ferry you downtown, and Bixi stations are at every corner allowing for easy access to any part of the city you wish to explore. The Clark bikepath is just a few blocks over from our place.
No matter what you'd like to do in Montreal, our place is both incredibly well situated and connected to the rest of the city, and a peaceful refuge after a long day.
You will have access to all the shared spaces in our home (dining room, kitchen, shared bathroom, back balcony) as well as to your own private balcony.
We think we live in the best nighborhood anywhere. Have a look for yourselves!
In general we expect respectful behaviour, and general cleanliness, especially if using the kitchen frequently. We have a great space for hanging out and listening to music, but we try to be respectful of our neighbours and we expect the same of our guests.
About the Host, Breagh & Liam
Liam and I (Breagh) are both from the East Coast of Canada, but have happily made our home here in Montreal. After many years we continue to be amazed by the vibrancy of this city. So much art, music, food, cultural stuff in general going on all the time it is really incredible. In the summer it's hard to keep up!
Liam runs a video production company just down the street, and I am studying to be a yoga instructor and work at a super fun local hangout called Nouveau Palais. We think we live in one of the best areas, well anywhere really, really low key, tonnes of cafes and restaurants, and super well connected to the rest of the city. Not to mention the bagels. We are rather busy most of the time, but when we can we love to cook and listen to music at home. We love meeting new people, and have travelled a fair share ourselves, so we look very much forward to meeting you. We're pretty confident you'll leave glad you stayed with us!
