My comfortable one bedroom with its own private bathroom is calming and relaxing—perfect for a quiet night's sleep. The second story room has a queen bed and comfortably sleeps two. You can use the kitchen and covered carport parking.
Coming to Indy? Perhaps to catch a sporting event or conference or just to visit the Midwest? If so, I have a quaint private bedroom in a two-story, brick home built in 1900 not far from downtown Indy. The home has been updated with a contemporary design. The bed is a comfortable queen with a brand-new memory foam topper, and the bedroom has plenty of privacy with natural light. You also get your own private bathroom (not an en-suite bathroom) that has been modernized with a great shower. This bedroom is perfect for a relaxing, quiet getaway from the hubbub of downtown or a place to settle on your way through town.
My home is ten minutes directly east of downtown or about 25 minutes from the airport. A bus line is directly across the street (eastbound) or a half block away (westbound) if you choose to ride the bus, and you use drive and park your car in my carport. Uber is about $10 one way to downtown.
My home is just a few minutes from Irvington and several locally owned restaurants, including Jockamo's, The Legend, Black Acre Brewery, and Steer In. Starbuck's is also a few minutes away. Fountain Square is only ten minutes away as well with a plethora of restaurants, bars, shops, and hangouts.
Be a guest in my home and relax. Complimentary continental breakfast served (yogurt, juice, fruit, coffee).
Sorry, but I will not wash your car.
You can utilize the living room (and watch TV with Netflix), the three-season front porch (and enjoy a cup of coffee), the back yard and patio areas, and the kitchen (and prepare a light meal), if you're tidy.
If you need room for more than two, I have a second bedroom with a queen bed that I also rent for an additional $40 a night. The two bedrooms share the same bathroom. If you're interested. I usually keep the second listing turned off unless guests have a need for it. Just ask me.
Interaction with Guests
I do come and go (I'm a busy guy), so my interactions vary. With some guests who are interested in carrying on a conversation, I love meeting new people. I have also gone out to dinner with a few guests. If you'd rather relax, I'll leave you to yourself. Just let me know.
I don't have any pets, but feel free to play with any dust bunnies if you find them, but I do strive to keep a very clean home, so don't waste your time looking for them.
My historic home is nestled about six blocks west of Irvington in the Bosart-Brown neighborhood. I have a fenced-in backyard with patio furniture, so it's a perfect place to have your morning cup of coffee or a mid-afternoon snack.
The neighborhood is an urban area, on the edge of the quaint village of Irvington. The house is located on Washington Street, which is one the main east-west streets in Indianapolis, which makes getting around very easy.
The house is a two-story brick home with new windows, and the room is in the rear of the house, so it's quiet and relaxing.
A bus stop with buses heading downtown is just two houses away. The bus ride is about a 15- to 20-minute ride, depending on traffic and the time of day. You can also drive in about 10 to 15 minutes. The bus stop for coming from downtown is directly across the street.
Please note: Taking the bus is a city-life experience, so you'll see people from all walks of life. If you're not accustomed to such, taking the bus may not be your best option.

Chad's house and the AirBnB room were spotlessly clean, inviting and cozy. Chad is a lovely host who made me feel comfortable while respecting my privacy. I was in town to do interviews, and was traveling all over the state. The location was perfect for someone with a car, and close to major highways, so perfect for my needs. There is also a bus (#8) that goes right downtown (15 minutes, $1.50), but the location might be tricky if you don't have a car.
Chad's place is amazing! He has beautiful art in his house and made me feel right at home. He even provided toiletries, water, coffee, and breakfast. I loved the journal he has for his visitors to leave a note. We did leave a note. :) Additionally, he stayed in touch with me the whole time and responded quickly to me if I had any questions. His kindness and generosity was amazing. I will be recommending Chad's place to my friends and family when they visit Indy. Final Grade: A++
At Chad’s place “The atmosphere breathes rest and comfort, and the many chambers seem full of welcomes” (Henry Wadsworth Longfellow (phone number hidden)), American poet & educator)
Many thanks from Judit and Reka :)
Chad was very communicative throughout the whole process. He provided detailed instructions and texted on the check-in day to make sure everything was fine. He even had a chocolate on my pillow. Would stay here again in a heart beat. Highly recommend Chad as a host! Thanks for everything!!
Chad was great. He got me from the airport, showed me where the convention center was, gave me the run down of everything I needed to know, showed me around the house, offered coffee and breakfast items, and the just let me do my thing. It was a great first time airbnb experience.
Chad was an amazing host. He offered breakfast and even had a dark chocolate sitting out for me. :-) It was exactly what I needed as I was traveling through town!
This was our second time staying with Chad and we would like to stay with him whenever we are at Indy. Chad is a great host, and his house is very clean, comfy and close to downtown.

I'm a self-employed editor during the day and a high school and college volleyball ref by night. I also dabble in bartending, working at a local historic reception venue a couple times a month.
I am down-to-earth, sincere, genuine, loyal, and respectful. Life is so short and delicate, so live today like it's your last day.
Please read my entire profile before you send a reservation request.
I love to travel and have had the fortune to visit many interesting places in the world, including Australia, New Zealand, England, France, Spain, Italy, Greece, Turkey, Costa Rica, Ecuador, Argentina, Uruguay, Brazil, Mexico, and Canada, as well as 40 of the 50 US states (with plans on visiting a couple new ones in the next year). My favorite countries include New Zealand, Australia, Argentina, Spain, Greece, and Brazil.
As an AirBnB host, I love welcoming people into my home. Since joining AirBnB three years ago, I have met and hosted people from all over the world—New Zealand, India, Canada, Singapore, Taiwan, England, Saudi Arabia, France, and so many places within the United States. I take hosting someone very seriously. I want you to feel comfortable in my home and city—in other words, my community.
If you're road weary and need a place for one night or you're coming into town for a conference or vacation and want to get away from the hubbub of downtown, I can help.
No matter whether you're an AirBnB newbie or an AirBnB pro, and you're sending a reservation request, please take a few moments and complete your AirBNB profile with a picture and some security verifications.
I'm LGBT- and straight-friendly as well as open to meeting all types of people. Mi casa es tu casa.
Just an FYI: My home is in a city. Indianapolis is a city of socioeconomic pockets . If you do take the city bus, you will go through some neighborhoods with a lower socioeconomic level on your way downtown. I wanted to give you a heads-up before you reserved, if you're not used to city living.
