This bright and cozy apartment is on the second floor of a converted row house in the hip neighborhood of Lawrenceville. Within walking distance of great coffee shops, bars and restaurants and very close to the lively Strip District where there is an abundance of fresh produce, fish and flowers. Public transportation is just a three minute walk from the house and you can easily get to other great neighborhoods in the East End.
The apartment features one large bedroom with a queen size bed. There is also an air mattress available that can be put in either the living room or bedroom. The kitchen is full size with a gas stove, French Press, toaster, blender, dishes and flatware. Pillows, linens and towels are all provided for you, as well as a small assortment of toiletries that are in the bathroom.
While there is no television I will provide you with the Wi-fi password. There are also speakers in the living room so that you can listen to music while you hang out around the house.
There is parking available on the street and it is not difficult to find a spot. I will leave the keys for you when you arrive and you will have the apartment completely to yourself while you are here. For folks who book a longer stay there is a chance that I may stop in to water my plants. Overall my apartment is super comfortable and warm. I hope you enjoy it as much as I do!
Abbey's apartment was great for two people. We really enjoyed her decor and the space was very generous. Its a good location in an up and coming neighborhood with lots of interesting stuff within walking distance. Very easy parking. Abbey was in good contact, despite inclement weather that kept changing our travel plans. She checked in frequently, and answered all our questions.
Abbey was a great host. Everything was exactly as described and she was friendly and helpful despite me arriving in the middle of a blizzard.
A great place for a weekend getaway! We had a hard time getting out to explore Pittsburgh just because of how lovely it was indoors. It is small, quaint, simple, and comfortable. Of note, there is one queen bed and one queen air mattress. Could accommodate four people, but two would definitely be more comfortable. Bring your own kitchen supplies as hers are limited (or plan to dine out). Overall, an incredible place to stay...lots of natural lighting/sunshine!
Abbey's Lawrenceville apartment had a convenient location: close to Bloomfield and a little further from downtown Pittsburgh. The roomy apartment sported unique, artistic décor, such as vintage photos and an original pastel drawing of an angelic Cookie Monster. The apartment's heating system served its job well during the frigid weather. In short, the place serves its purpose well as a temporary domicile.
I was planning last-minute for my trip to Pittsburgh. Abbey accepted my reservation request about 24 hours before my arrival to the city. Her place was bright, quirky, and conveniently located-- super close to Church Brewery, as well as a ton of other bars/coffee shops on Butler st. Though I didn't get to meet her, Abbey was accessible via text, and gave great recommendations close to her apartment. Overall, great experience!
Abbey was easy to communicate with and everything was as advertised. Would definitely stay again.
Two of us stayed in Abbey's apartment for eight days. Her place was comfortable and quiet, with large rooms decorated with style. Communication with Abbey went very well, and she even left a detailed handwritten note for us when she found out we wouldn't have access to email while traveling. We found Lawrenceville to be a walkable neighborhood and a good central location for exploring Pittsburgh. Highly recommend Abbey's apartment.
We had a lovely stay at Abbey's place; it met our needs perfectly. With two long days of driving on our trip - from Canada, and then back and forth to Fallingwater - it was great to have Abbey's charming, cheerful, and tidy apartment as our base, as it put us within easy walking distance of all sorts of great Lawrenceville restaurants and bars. We didn't meet our host, but had everything we needed for our visit. Would happily stay here again on future trips. Thanks for your hospitality, Abbey!
We stayed at Abbeys over a weekend in September. The apartment is cute, clean and good for a couple. While the neighborhood isn't the best-looking, it feels safe and is a convenient location to travel to the Strip District and nearby neighborhoods. Also, it's extremely close to the Church Brew Works for craft beer fans! I'd recommend this place for those on a budget, with a car, that want to check out Pittsburgh neighborhoods and places off the beaten path!
Awesome hip little neighborhood. Great little apartment near a ton of cool bars and breweries. A 3 mile bike ride to the city center along the river. Apartment was a bit warm as it only had 1 window unit. But we were there in August so... Totally a great experience. Abbey was a great host and flexible with our times.
