This is modern studio apartment with a separate sleeping area, (so you could say it is actually a kind of a one bedroom). It has a large, sunny living room and a small balcony.
The apartment comfortably accommodates up to four people - two on the queen sized bed and two on the pullout sofa.
It features a large screen TV, high speed internet, fully stocked kitchen (comes handy if you don't want to eat out every day) and a bathroom with bathtub.
There is an elevator so no worries of dragging your luggage up the stairs.
A few words about the area: If you tend to worry about the security you will feel very comfortable in this neighborhood. Due to immediate vicinity of United Nations Headquarters and due to numerous diplomatic missions, government agencies and foreign consulates, this neighborhood is as safe as it can be. Although the whole Manhattan has been a very safe place for a while now, this area is specially guarded and protected at all times.
Another good thing is that you will not lack any entertainment. Bars and fancy restaurants are all over the place. Groceries and supermarkets around the corner. Great shopping just a few blocks from here in any direction. Times Square, Broadway, Central Park, Bloomingdales and other icons of New York are all within walking distance.
Excelente departamento! Igual que en las fotos. Ubicado en un muy lindo barrio.
It was perfect! Thanks for everything!!!
Kat was helpful and accommodating and replied quickly to communication. She was also very helpful when we were delayed in New York due to weather allowing us to stay extra nights on short notice.
The apartment however was not particularly well cleaned as the floor was gritty and there was an unknown and unnameable substance in the oven which emitted a foetid smell when the oven was turned on without checking what lay within beforehand. The apartment was also a little noisy as the ceiling seemed to have been crafted employing the same techniques used in the construction of high quality percussive instruments.
There is a supermarket around the corner and a number of pizza and take aways in close proximity.
In short a little noisy and needs a good clean, but a good stay otherwise.
Getting the key was very easy and well organized. Also good to have an elevator in the building. The apartment however was a disappointment. It was extremely noisy. You could hear everything from the neighbors on the floor above. Also the fridge made so much noise that I had to turn it off to be able to sleep. The mattress was very thin and not very comfortable. So all in all I found it to expensive for what I got and will not recommend it to my friends.
Fantastic stay. Great location in NYC. Walking distance to many bars, restaurants and not too far a walk to the nearest underground station. The apartment is large and spacious for a studio and true to the pictures posted. We had no issues picking up keys and getting settled in. Would highly recommend this place for anyone visiting NYC.
We stayed for two weeks. The apartment was comfortable and the location was close to everything in Manhattan we needed. The subway is only a few blocks away. The building is older and needs some maintenance, but it was safe and quiet. We enjoyed our stay and would stay again.
Had a nice time in the apartment. If I was to say anything negative it would be that the bed was a bit hard for my taste. Otherwise the apartment looks just like it does in the pictures. Stayed a total of 12 days and totaly enjoyed the big TV with Netflix. The apartment has an iron and small ironing board as well as a hair dryer. There is also a big umbrella in the closet. Closest subway is on 53rd and Lexington a 4-5 block walk (about 6-7 minutes away). With Connections you will get to any place in the city.
Great place, very convenient, everything was as advertised, bathroom needs little attention but the place is great. Very understanding host. Will definitely book again...
As you can imagine we were very excited to be staying in NYC as this was our first stay in NY. There were some timing issues with the handover of the keys and the agreed time didn't work out and we spoke to a friend of Kat's who was organising the key. There was a lot of confusion, when finally instead of waiting outside the apartment, my husband and I waited in a nearby coffee shop. A lady arrived with the key and we assumed this was Kat. She had been told we were already in the apartment. As we left she indicated she wasn't Kat, she wasn't the friend on the phone, and to this day we still don't know who she was!!
The apartment was small and the main bed was uncomfortable the sheeting left a lot to be desired. The fold out futon was also used for our stay for the week.
The apartment was tired and in good need of a few basic repairs!!
On the positive side, the hot water was hot, the water pressure in the shower was great and the toilet didn't block so that was a relief. I wouldn't recommend more than two people staying in this apartment and if you did have a third, only a child as there really isn't enough space.
The neighbours above were very loud on occasions and the walls are so thin, when people were coughing next door it felt like they were in the bed with you!!
