Stay by the old watermill from 1837. The mill is one of the best preserved watermills in Denmark awarded by the Danish Culturel authorities. Inside the watermill is a small museum open on request. The watermill produces electricity. Close by runs a hiking trail called "Øhavsstien" passing through some of the most beautiful nature in the area.
The small wooden house for rent includes a kitchen/living room an open loft for sleeping and a bathroom. Outside is a private terrace with furnitures. Free parking. The house is provided with electric heating and it is possible to rent in winter as well. It has a TV and a DVD player. Suitable for a couple or a small family with 1-2 children.
4 km from the house you find a peaceful beach, 2 km away you can shop and the public bus stops 300m from the house.
We are a family who travels a lot and have many international friends. We speak English, German and Spanish.
Via the descriptions we could find it pretty easily, though the navigation device thought it was a dead end. The room is not inside the little watermill, but the little red house you can see on the picture to the right. The house was very cosy and quiet (we didn't hear the three sheep at all) and had everything that we could need.
The village close by has a large supermarket with every thing you need.
For diner Svenborg is recommended (10 minutes drive).
There are many walking trails and lovely views. The watermill runs when enough rain has fallen, and luckily we saw it running two times (we had beautiful weather).
Overall a beautiful place with very friendly hosts!
Alles prima. Great please in all means. I wal only missing WLAN - that is all. Great please especially in (website hidden) Alina & Jesper.
A lovely house on a beautiful territory, quiet area but yet close by to the main attractions . Hanne was a great host, the house was clean and well equipped and the raspberry bush outside the house was a perfect addition to our breakfast :)
we had a great time in vejstrup! hanne is a lovely and helpful host and the hut is cosy and in a geat surrounding. sheep behind the house, a little cat, cherry plantages nearby, it´s very idyllic indeed! even by bike we could easily get around, reach the beach, the next bigger town svendborg and other places worth visiting. we loved our vacation there and might come back another year.
We stayed at Hanne's place for one week. It was very nice but not luxurious. Hanne is a helpful, uncomplicated host. The house is next to the old water mill. I can recommend it for those who are looking for silence and nature in Denmark!
This is such a lovely place. The location is spectacular, the lake and the watermill give you the impression to live in a fairy tale . Hanne and her family couldn't have been warmer and welcoming. The house was nice, clean, and comfortable. The experience totally exceeded our expectations and we had an incredible time.
We highly recommend it.
