Darrell was very helpful when we first got there! An the apartment is located in a spot where it is very easy to get to everything! The fact that there was someone always at the front desk made it very comfortable an they also were very helpful in our travels. Any questions we had though our stay Darrell was there for.

The best thing about this place is the location. After that it's pretty much downhill. Upon arrival we just wanted to shower, unfortunately there was no hot water or clean towels. We eventually got ahold of the host and he was able to come by and fix the hot water issue. His fix for the towels was to point is in the direction of the laundromat to go do his laundry! The entire apt was a bit dirty. You would expect to not find trash in the bathrooms or dishes in the sink but you would be wrong. You would also expect clean sheets but again you would be wrong. One bedroom smelled so sour that the windows had to be kept open at all times. As for the Internet...didn't exist. The host said the cleaning lady messed it up and they would bring us a portable router. Never happened but not a surprise since the cleaning lady obviously didn't exist so why should a router magically appear. Nice enough dude but a completely inept "host". Do yourself a favor and keep looking.

We had a great stay at Darrell's apartment in Dublin. Although we did not meet Darrell - his friend was onsite to greet us and show us around and provide all the information we needed. The apartment was clean and spacious and perfect for our group of four. It was a 10min walk to the Guinness Storehouse and easy walk/ tram ride to the main city centre. The only slight niggle with the apartment (nothing to do with Darrell though!) was that it was extremely (and unusually) hot in Dublin when we arrived and so we had to sleep with the windows/doors open - it was hard to sleep as there is a lot of road noise at night! Also, the apartment was slightly hard to find - the best way is to park in the paid parking garage on Queen St and catch the elevator up - you can find the concierge and entrance easily that way.

Great location - close to public transportation, cafes, grocery store. The owner, Darrel, met us on arrival and was very helpful and friendly. He also made himself available to answer inquiries at any time during our stay. The apartment was clean and very adequate to our needs.

Positives: -Darrell was very helpful and pleasant to work with and went above and beyond in accommodating us -Darrell had maps and a UK mobile phone for our use -Apartment was located in a quiet area with a 15 min walk to Temple bar area -Apartment was large and spacious Negatives: -Overall cleanliness: apartment was very dirty, bedroom carpets were dirty and heavily stained, garbage cans had not been emptied, leftover food was in fridge, coffee pot had old coffee in it, washing machine had a load of the host's laundry in it -Accessibility issues: a number of light bulbs were burnt out, the coffee pot had a shattered top rim (dangerous), bathroom had no bath mats, shower head was broken and needed to be held with one hand while showering -Overall living conditions: the hosts live here full time and move out during your stay, hence there are personal effects throughout the apartment and has a very 'lived in' feel. The beds were uncomfortable with very little padding and you could feel all the springs. -Host said the apartment was freshly cleaned, but we could not see any recent cleaning beyond a superficial wipe down We had booked this apartment for 7 nights and ended up finding other accommodation for the remaining 6 nights.

Darrell was a very nice host, showing us around like a tour guide! The apartment is very well located, about 10mn walk from Temple bar...and close to the Guinness brewery as well.
