Snow and Inclement Weather
The snow in Big Bear Lake is one of the best things about the area in the winter. However, there are some things to keep in mind when traveling to Big Bear in the winter.
Guests may find it easier to fall or slip on snow & ice. We HIGHLY advise guests to be very cautious while walking on snow & ice and especially while around our property.
*If there is an incident of falling, sliding, slipping, or anything along those lines, we are not held responsible nor liable for said incidents and or any injuries incurred from these incidents. Guests must take full cautionary measures and responsibility to prevent any accidents from happening at any given time while on the property.
When it snows, we will try our best to have the parking and walkways areas
plowed/shoveled as soon as possible. However, there may be instances where you may find your car stuck in the snow if we receive heavy snowfall. A snow shovel will be provided at the home for your convenience.
The weather can be very unpredictable. Delivery services such as Door Dash, Instacart, and other restaurant/grocery-based deliveries are not reliable when it snows. Please come prepared by packing your own food /drinks when traveling to Big Bear during the winter months.
Please be aware of Big Bear travel restrictions and road conditions. Depending on the type of vehicle you have, chains may be required for driving on the mountain roads to and from Big Bear Lake.
*Big Bear City Rental Requirements*
When reserving a stay, Big Bear Lake will require you to sign the Good Neighbor Policy, show proof of ID, & sign Salt & Pine Policy to be able to properly Check-In and rent to the property. If we do not receive the documentations by the day of Check-In then the guest cannot Check-In per city rules. It sounds intense, but I promise it’s just a few papers.
Due to Big Bear Lake rules: Home owners have to follow a strict occupancy rule. This cabin is ONLY ALLOWED 4 GUESTS with ONLY 2 Vehicles. Children are considered a person, in occupancy. Visitors of the guests are not permitted in the property, If it exceeds the Occupancy. Not following this rule can subject the guest to fines and possibly told to vacate the property.
28+ days or More Rental
If you are staying over 28 days, a simple rental agreement will be required to sign for the stay. Since its considered a Medium Term Rental for a booking over 28 days this agreement is for the protection of the guest and the host. Message me if you have questions.
