Earl is a fantastic host who willingly shares his knowledge about the area. Upon arrival, he showed us the best places in the area for snorkeling, swimming, and relaxing. He also gave us lots of excellent fruit that he had grown there on his farm. The apartment is not luxurious, but was spotlessly clean and had absolutely everything we needed, including, coolers, beach chairs, beach towels, and a full kitchen. Excellent mattress with a view out over the sea from the bed. Snacks, water, and juices were provided as well. Highly recommended.
On top of a beautiful view and awesome landscaping and some cute kitties to pet, Linda and Earl went above and beyond to create an awesome experience. The room has a separate entry with your own kitchen, dining, bathroom and bed. They stocked with lots of fresh fruits, snacks and beverages. WIFI was fast and easy to connect to. The room has pretty much anything you could ever think to need - this has been by far my favorite place on AirBNB that I've stayed. Thank you Earl and Linda so much!!!
The place was comfortable enough for me and two kids.
They provided almost everything we needed.
I really appreciate Earl's great help. Thank you very much!
We absolutely loved our stay. Earl is a very kind and generous host and made sure we had everything we needed everyday. He also left delicious papayas, bananas and pineapples at his doorstep for us to take in the morning. The place is basically a studio equipped with everything you would expect from a kitchen: pots and pans, oil, butter, dishware, and quite a few pleasant suprises. It's perfect for a couple that wishes to cook at their place. As shown in the pictures, the view is absolutely beautiful and the place is very well ventilated with a big fan, and open windows. Everything was tidy and clean, the sheets and towels smelled good and overall the experience was very comfortable. Thank you Earl for your hospitality.
Earl was really great with us. We got excellent fruits for breakfast and other goodies, maps and suggestions for beaches (snorkeling). The apartment was fine and it was also possible to borrow some equipment (chairs, cooler) which was also very appreciated. The view (forest, ocean) from the apartment was very nice, also. The sounds from the nature during the night were also spectacular. We recommand this place to anyone who wants to get in touch with the nature and stay in a very good place with aloha spirit. Thank you so much, Earl ! Mahalo !
Earl and Linda were very generous with snacks, water and coffee as well as even leaving butter in the refrigerator. A very private place. It is very close to the Painted Church and the Place of Refuge as well as Two Step. We snorkelled near the Captain Cook Monument by hiring a kayak at Kealakekua Bay Park and then kayaking across the bay. On the way we saw a pod of dolphins.
This is really a place in paradise! We enjoyed every minute staying in this beautiful place. Earl was a great host who gave us lots of tips and recommendations. The equipment of the room, the fresh fruits, the surroundings... just lovely! Also a good place to explore the west coast of the island, especially the Kona area.
About the Host, Linda
We have recently retired and are looking for vacationers that are adventurous in the day and want to come home to a quite oasis in Paradise at night. We decided to stay by the Painted Church and the Puʻuhonua o Hōnaunau National Historical Park in Captain Cook ,Hawaii, because we like Hawaiian history. From our location, we love the 180 degree view of the Pacific and always sit out to watch the sunset. Come join us, watch the sunset, in our quiet peace of paradise.
