Sit outside next to the Koi pond and enjoy the calming sound of waterfalls and the shaded patio. Watch the fish, birds bath and turtles bask in the sun.
If you want a quiet, peaceful, cozy place to stay, this is a great choice. We stayed here during QuiltWeek which is an insane week in Paducah. After dealing with thousands of people every day, it was wonderful to sit by the koi pond and unwind with a cocktail. Jay gave a fantastic overview when we arrived and then respectfully gave us our space until we needed something. I would love to return and really soak in the artistic atmosphere.
What a wonderful experience!! The location of the Pinecone was perfect - it is situated on the first floor of a beautiful building in the up and coming Lowertown Art District which is a short 10 minute walk to the riverfront and all downtown Paducah has to offer. The space was exactly as described if not better. We had our own dedicated off street parking spot, a private entrance and the landscaping and koi pond were beautiful. Once inside a full kitchen with eat in bar, large bath with the most amazing steam shower and a king size motion bed await. There is a Murphy bed hidden away and a nice futon/sofa for extra guests. The owners were beyond friendly - Jay gave a wonderful tour of the property upon arrival and made it clear he was only a phone call away if we needed anything. Char's gallery is a must see - you are encouraged to pop in anytime and look around.
For me, the little things made our stay extra special. The owners presented us with a gift on arrival to say thank you and Happy Valentine's Day. Also, there was a beautiful bouquet of purple roses on the kitchen bar and amazingly delicious imported Hawaiian water in the refrigerator. Finally, inside the medicine cabinet any toiletry that you may have forgotten can be found. The hospitality of Char and Jay was very much appreciated and we will return to the Pinecone very soon!
The room is well decorated. The neighborhood is in the arts district amongst other artists who re-located to Paducah with that program. The house is a short drive to Broadway for some very good restaurants, wall murals and the National Quilt Museum. Parking is easier.
I would say the price of the room honestly when you account for all fees is high at $150 total. For a small unvisited town it seems overpriced.
But overall I d recommend (website hidden)
Loved it! Great location, quiet neighborhood, lovely pond & patio area. Very well-appointed apartment: modern design, quality appliances & kitchenware & bath, and lots of art books to browse. Nowhere else I've stayed in Paducah even compares.
Lovely apartment in downtown Paducah. Off street parking.. Separate entrance.. Fantastic bathroom.. Well-appointed, and only two blocks from great coffee at Etcetra..
It was great! Good location. The fruit basket was much appreciated! Quiet neighborhood but easy to walk to everywhere we wanted. Having an art studio beside us was quite lovely!
