Interaction with Guests
Certainly available for any help or directions guests may need. We're a very friendly family and so guests are welcome to chat, relax and enjoy our company. Otherwise we respect their privacy.
We love the red tailed hawks that are constantly circling overhead, the soft hooting of owls in the early morning and occasionally the howl of kyotes in the hills behind the house.
There is no local public transport available to our house. One guest used a bicycle, but it's quite a hill, he was very fit, car rental is easier.
Quiet between 10 p.m. and 7 a.m.
We had a very relaxing and enjoyable stay. The view is absolutely beautiful. The room pictures look very nice but once you actually see this room, the quality detailing is impressive. You will get a great nights sleep in this quiet neighborhood in a most comfortable bed. Our host was welcoming and said to ask her for anything we needed.
The room (and the view!) were wonderful--exactly as advertised. You don't see it in the photos but there's also a widescreen TV mounted on the wall. Glen and Duncan were incredibly friendly and accommodating, and they completely respected my privacy. The room is down a floor and has its own entrance, so it feels very private. They even supplied me with coffee and bagels, which they really didn't have to do. It was far better than a hotel room and much cheaper. Highly recommend!
I hope to stay again at Glen's Ocean Views listing. The views are magnificent and even more extraordinary than shown in the photos. The room was spotless and comfortable, and the kitchen area had everything I needed for my two-day stay, thanks to stocking up at the nearby Trader Joes. I heard owls as the sun rose in the mornings, and the drive to my business meetings in Camarillo took less than ten minutes.
We had a wonderful welcome when we arrived at Glen and Duncan's home. They are a wonderful couple and we thoroughly enjoyed talking to them. Our room was just as advertised-- spacious, with a great balcony and a spectacular view of the city and Pacific Ocean. We were provided with a small refrigerator, coffee maker, microwave, kettle, and a toaster. Coffee, tea and milk are provided but you need to bring your own breakfast food. The location of the house is up a steep hill so you must have your own car if you stay here. There are 2 flights of stairs to the room so you need to be mobile.
The reservation was canceled the day before arrival. This is an automated posting.
Absolutely gorgeous views and a clean comfortable room. Everything that we needed in a place to stay was right here. Glen provided fresh milk for our morning coffee which I loved enjoying on the cool mornings out on the patio and bottled water. Great convenient location for everything we needed to get to. Glen and Duncan are very nice people though with our very busy schedule we didn't get a lot of time to chat. Thank you for sharing your home!
