The USEFUL TIPS OF THE OWNER:
Just off the road where the apartment is located, you can enjoy one of the best coffee of Naples "caffè del professore" or the historical "caffè Gambrinus", after an initial meeting with the city, it's nice to take a walk on the beautiful seafront Via Caracciolo, to the port of Mergellina. Wanting to have an overview of the beautiful architecture, beautiful places and beautiful scenery, you can also opt for a visit with tour bus discovered "City Sighseeing" (terminal 200 meters), with a choice of four routes proposed. Walking through the streets of the city, including a church, a museum and a cloister, is "mandatory" one stage from "Pintauro" (Via Toledo) for a "sfogliatella" or a "babà" from "Mary." The proximity to the port (Beverello) allows guests of the holiday to take a ride in the "piazzetta" and visit the Faraglioni of Capri, returning home the same day. Together with a "tour" in the shopping area of Via Chiaia and Via Filangieri, you can make a stop at "pizzeria Brandi" (1st street of Via Chiaia) or "pizzeria Mattozzi" (Via Filangieri), to enjoy a good pizza or neapolitan dishes. At sunset, it will be nice to have a drink or dine on the edge of the docks of the Borgo Marinari, to Castel dell'Ovo, the restaurant "Ciro." In the evening, as well as representations of the Real Teatro San Carlo opera and ballet, will attend a folklore show at the Theatre Café Sannnazzaro Chantant. Then there are the pubs, clubs and much, much more ...
Use of air conditioning and heating: ADSL connection wifi 24h: use of the lift and all the equipment presents.
Interaction with Guests
I prefer to receive personally (or through my authorized agent) guests, not only to Explain the functioning of all equipment, but also regard the proximity to the most important monuments of the city and public transport: and to advise them about the nearby shops (at 50 m) or restaurants good and not expensive (at 50-100 m), bars with live music, "nightlife" and much more.
The property is located in the San Fernando district: rich of the most important attractions of the city (Palazzo Reale, Piazza del Plebiscito, the San Carlo Opera and Ballet Theater, Maschio Angioino Castle, Via Toledo ......), but also in strategic position to reach in few minutes the city's Ancient Centre: the Chiaia district, the picturesque Spanish Quarter and the Via Caracciolo's seafront.
The flat is in an area well served by public transport:
- Bus R2 (every 10 minutes) From/To the Central Railway Station in Piazza Garibaldi.
- Station of the Metro line M1, coming from the Central Railway Station in Piazza Garibaldi, Via Toledo, only at 500 meters.

For our first time in Naples this flat was a good choice; it's placed so that you can try a little of everything in this crazy city. It's like living off Piccadilly Circus; it's at the southern end of the fascinating Quartieri Spagnoli neighbourhood, the shopping of Via Toledo is seconds away as are Gambrinus coffee-house, the Opera House and Piazza del Plebiscito, with the Lungomare just past that. Sergio kept in touch and gave detailed directions from the station, he also met up with us at the flat to show us around & recommend places to go. The flat itself cleverly fits everything you would need into a small space; we were glad of the washing machine and made some meals here. Do read Sergio's book which explains how heating, etc works. The other book about Naples & the Risorgimento is an eye-opener too! It's on the top floor but the good news is that there's a lift! It took me a while to learn how to open the front gate (when the key turns you grab hold of a bar and pull the gate up very slightly) but there's sometimes a concierge and the residents were friendly if you got stuck. People say the Centro, Spagnoli, Sanita etc are scary and dangerous but I didn't feel that at all & might stay further in if I returned to Naples. That's just personal preference, though, and a lot of the must-sees are right next to this flat.
Sergio was a great communicator, very responsive to email inquiries. His home was extremely clean and in a great location.
Very good house. And it's close to Garibaldi station and Beverlello port. (The house is central of 2 place.) But street is little bit scary(until night time, because it's close to via toledo) Except the street, this b&b is nice place to enter!
I am very happy that you enjoyed so much my flat. But I must say I'm sorry your fear in the street, as it is close to Via Toledo (100 meters), which is one of the main streets of Naples. The area where is the holiday home is populated by people of various kind: workers, students, tourists, families and ordinary people. In 2 years of activity of my vacation home and 12 years of the other holiday homes, located in the same building, it has never happened any incident (theft, assault) to tourists or local, as well as to you. If you told me these your fears, I would have reassured you. Thanks again for being my guest, Sergio
Grazie Sergio e a presto!
Upon arrival, Sergio kindly welcomed us in his beautiful appartment. We stayed here for 4 days and absolutely loved the place. It's located perfectly in the city centre, so you can explore most parts of the city by foot. If you're looking for a clean and cosy place to stay in Naples, look no further!
