About This Listing
Behind Piazza Navona in a tiny and amazingly silent street, this fully serviced design apartment can host up to seven guests. Upstairs you have windows above your beds, to watch the stars from another point of view, while falling asleep..
Fandango is about 85 squared meters, at the fourth floor of an old building, indeed, without elevator. But after the four floors, a wide cool designed living room with two double leather sofa beds welcomes you when you enter the apartment, all over historic wood ceilings above your head.
On the first level is the living room, one bathroom with a comfy bathtub, and a large dining area facing the fully equipped American kitchen, with dishwasher. On the second level, upstairs, is the loft with an additional single sofa bed, other wardrobes, and the main bedroom with encloset bathroom, here you have a large and modern shower.
The owner of the flat requires to sign an agreement for the guest's stay. The agreement is in Italian or English.
Fandango is located in the old centre, between Via dei Coronari and the main Corso Vittorio Emanuele II, in a very quiet and tiny road, behind Piazza Navona, and two steps away from Sant'Angelo bridge, that leads you to the Vatican.
On the opposite side of Corso Vittorio Emanuele II is the most famous IV Century's square of Campo de' Fiori: last example of Reinassance Romanity, in the heart of the Eternal City.
No smoking, you can smoke outside.
Final Cleaning: 40 euro to pay at check-in
Refoundable damage deposit: only credit card details, don't need to pay it.
Late check-in fee 20:00pm - 08:00pm: 50 euro
Municipality of Rome local tax: 3.5 euro per person per night
GREAT PLACE! Perfect location. Valentina is extremely helpful, not only prepared the flat well, also saved us on our poor trip schedule! Without her, we could spend a lot more euros.
The apartment was clean and well located.
Photos correspond to the reality.
But we had a very bad experience because the sink in the downstairs bathroom was broken. We used it during the first day and when we came back at the end of the day we saw some water in the floor and so we understood that it was broken. We immediately informed Purple home and they also immediately told us that we broke it without having saw it.
I immediately understood that they would try to put the fault on us to keep de pledge. We sent some photos to Airbnb and hopefully they understood that we couldn't have done that.
We hadn't to pay anything else but this wasted part of our holidays.
We really had the impression that they wanted to take advantage of us and this is very disgusting.
For that reason, I wouldn't recommend you Purple Home.
El apartamento es estupendo y la zona nos ha encantado. Es un barrio con mucho encanto, tiendas de diseño, antigüedades, moda, pequeños bares...El servicio de Alessandro y Valentina fue muy cordial y profesional.
It was a good place to stay for few days, the best is the location you can walk everywhere from there. Alessandro is suuper nice, everything went good with him and I would recommend this place.
Cons: The pics looks a bit better than reality :) and the first floor shower is pretty bad.
We had a great time in the Old Centre apartment hosted by Purple Home. The apartment was as advertised in terms of space and plenty of room for our family of five (as long as kids don't mind sleeping on pull out beds). The apartment was also clean throughout which was important to us. We were met on a timely basis and when we thought the air conditioning was malfunctioning they were very responsive (turned out not to be an issue). We also loved the area - very difficult to tell on line what it was like but it was safe, very close to a lot of fun small restaurants and also a short walk to the Piazza Novona and relatively short walk to San't Angelo and the Vatican - all that and still quiet at night. Only draw back is it was a bit of a walk up the steps, but we spent most of the day around town so only had to make the climb once a day.
Alessandro and Valentina were very helpful and gracious hosts! They care about their guest's experience and arranged for our pickup from the Rome airport as well as to the Termini train station for another leg of our journey. Alessandro also took the time to explain the local places, attractions and helped with booking our train ride.
The only thing to be prepared for is if you have young children (we did), lots of luggage (we were fine, here) is that the flat is on the fourth floor with no elevator (as described).
Overall, the flat was very nice, spacious and as described in the pictures. The interior stairs are a little narrow by US standards but work. The location was conveniently within walking distance to the Vatican, cafes, banks, a grocery store and numerous restaurants.
Again, highly recommended place, very helpful and professional hosts!
