The flat is located in the 20th district, on the 3rd floor, it´s private for you during your stay, it is a 150 years old building, so please do not expect an elevator, it is not common in Vienna in an old building.
The flat is renovated though you´ll see some minor issues in the building which was renovated last summer; In the building there are still things that need to be made, do not worry the time of the big noise is already gone.
The flat is very close to the center, to the canal and to the main attractions, close to Prater Stern, very well connected, you have tram 5 and 33 on the corner the metro line 4 is also close (3 tram stations).
The flat is not shared, you would live on your own during your stay, you have a small kitchen, enough for two people even 3 would be ok to host.
You would have a big low bed and a low sofa, i like it low. Take a look at the pictures.
There´s internet, shower and toilette inside the flat, (sometimes in Viena you´ll find them outside), all basic things you need for your visit.
The kitchen is very small, enough for one person cooking, if you love huge comfortable kitchens or flats and this is an absolute muss for you, i´m afraid you´ll have a bad time, but if you just want to cook your coffee or so than it´s ok. The toilette is also small, but i guess you rather want to spend time outside.
Close to the flat you have the Wallensteinstr and Wallensteinplatz where you can find supermarkets, cafes, an excellent ice cream store and cheap things to eat you´ll find also around.
The Augarten is 2 blocks away from the flat. I work in the tourism area, so if you would need further informations, i can also assist you in the matter.
Glad to meet you, i speak spanish, english and german, and if i muss also italian and french but you would have to pardon my french ;)
David is a very nice person. The flat is small but pretty and is not so far from center. Near the apartment is very beautiful park.
It was a nice and simple place to stay at pretty close to the centre.
David was a great host and extremely flexible when it came to me needing to stay a couple of extra days. He was relaxed and easy to get in touch with via text and call.
The apartment itself is honestly represented in the photos - relatively small with the bedroom in the living area but if you're just looking for a few nights stay then it's perfect!
I don't really have any negative feedback to give regarding my stay at David's apartment.
The place is very well located and easy to get from the airport, especially using tips which David provides.
The flat is simple and clean you have everything you need. Perfect for two people.
The only two things that bothered us a bit is stairs (the is no lift), so if your luggage is not 30 kilos is great! )) And the second thing that at winter time it's a bit cold in the bathroom, but not very cold. Take a home slippers.
From all the other sides place is great and I recommend it for sure! No doubts!
Davids flat is in a good location and everything is as advertised. David met us right on time and was a very good host.
The appartment is clean and well located : close to the center, public transport and supermarket. I recommended it.
David is a great host, friendly and helpful.
I haven't met the host but the room was clean, cosy and everything you need in it ;)
David's studio is perfectly located about 30 minutes from the city center (there's plenty of public transportation nearby too). The furnishings are all comfortable and the kitchen while small, had everything we needed during our stay.
David was helpful, laid back and was responsive to the questions we had.
David is a great guy. A mimalist with his little bachelor suite.
He helped us find free parking a kilometer or two from his flat.If you are 20 something you will probably be fine with his place. At 60 I expected more. The furniture is all very low, as in squatting style. The bed is just a matt on the floor and beyond its best days.We had one towel to share for three days. Thats one medium bath towel and one small face towel. I did email and ask for more. No reply.
It would have been great to have a chair, any regular chair to sit on. The sofa is also on the ground. I might reccomend this place to my 21 year old daughter for a night ot two, but its only advantage to a hostel is privacy. Also, a lot of steps after all day walking. I like David and feel he could fix up the place with a few bucks and change all my issues easily. Good luck.
Apartment honestly presented, nothing fancy but adequate to my short stay in Vienna on business. No check-in problems, clean, no wifi problems, good hot water and water pressure. Middle-class neighborhood with stores and restaurants nearby, just a minute from the #5 tram line and just a few tram stops from Praterstern (where there are U1 and U2 underground stops and also a cheap and easy train connection to/from the airport on the S7). David very nice and helpful.
