Wonderful. Minimalist and clean. Very cozy and well appointed.
The shower is funky - but let's be honest, you're not in Helsinki to soak in a tub anyway. It's in a neighborhood so you'll need to do a bit of walking to get to the nightlife or metro. Still, it's a beautiful walk, near parks, and close to some great restaurants.
This is a very nice apartment in an interesting area full of independent shops and bars that's not far from the center of the city. It's roomy and modern, but still feels cozy and comfortable to be in. Katri and Tomas were out of the country when I visited but were responsive on e-mail and arranged for Katri's mother Arja to meet me at 1am (I was on the late flight into Helsinki), which I was very grateful for. I'd definitely be happy to stay here again on future visits.
Thomas & Katri's apartment was pleasant and bright apartment to stay in for a few days & had everything I needed. It was also very convenient - in a quiet neighbourhood but within walking distance of many interesting places.
Katri's mother was very helpful in the email exchange with me just before my arrival and then when I arrived, she showed me where the local attractions were on the map. She was very hospitable.
The apartment is wonderfully light filled and is thoughtfully decorated. There were many Finnish design books to read, which shed light on some recent projects in Helsinki. The location is easy to get to, a few minutes walk from Tram lines. It's also quiet! I don't think I've ever stayed so close to a city center, but had real quiet to sleep by. I would happily live in this apartment!
The apartment is very cozy and comfortable. Everything that you might need is there. The location is great as well, walking around the Design District is a lot of fun.
Should be even more awesome when the weather is warmer, as the balcony would then be useable.
Tomas and Katri's apartment is the perfect place to stay in Helsinki - it's both stylish and homely, a short walk to the city centre, has plenty going on in the local neighbourhood and has everything you need. Katri went out of her way to help me fix a problem with my computer when I was staying there, which I really appreciated. I'd definitely recommend this place and its hosts!
Great place to stay in Helsinki! Apartament is very cozy and nice. Recommended.
I had a warm welcom from their mother. She showed me around answered all questions and motivated some ares to visit.
The appartment gives you the space you like. The way they have decoreated it, is light minimalistic and therefor perfect for a traveler (like me).
The house was clean and provide space for my stuff.
The bathroom is ok, although the bath/shower is a challenge. It's a kind of a bath/sit/shower like an h-shape. The floor is too smaal to stand safely, while the 'seat' is too high to take a shower.
Neighbourhood is very nice. Nice little restaurants, furniture-shops, books etc. A variety.
I walked to the centre every day via a different route. So much to experience.
When I come back to Helsinki, I will definitely try to get this place again.
Very nice place, clean, warm, comfortable Mahendiran just like staying @ home.
Very good location with 5 mins working to supermarket and taking tram 3 directly to down town.
Will for sure come back and stay if visit Helsinki in the coming month/year.
The Apartment is spacious, comfortable, delightful.
The Hosts were very helpful with all my questions.
This is the final rate, including any fees from the host and Airbnb.
