THE TRIP AS AN EXPERIENCE: As the Paris Rive Gauche also the Oltrarno (which is on the left bank of the river) remained the only area of the city center which is not dedicated exclusively to tourism. You can find housewives who do their shopping at the local market, artisans who work in their shops, art galleries and important antique shops . Some of the most typical restaurants of the city are in this area and are mainly frequented by the Florentines.
Near the loft there are buses to go to every part of the city and all monuments, museums, most important places and the main railway station are no more than a 15 minute walk
The apartment was great and centrally located. There were a few restaurants and cafes near by that were very good. We are at 4 Leoni twice because it was very delicious. Maria Luisa's parents were very nice and helpful when we needed help. The area itself was a little noisy, it didn't really bother us too much because we can sleep through it, and this isn't anything that can be controlled by the host. Other than that, the apartment was great! Thank you!
Out host Donatella was very nice. She let us check in a bit earlier than planned and explained a little bit about the history of the building where the studio is located.
The studio is just like described, it has everything you need for a short stay in Florence.
The location is what makes this place amazing. Is close to everything but away from the noise and the crazy tours walking around the city.
The beds are comfy and everything was very clean.
This is a great apartment in an awesome location for exploring all of the sights and sounds and tastes of Florence. I would certainly stay there again in the future.
Communication was great with Maria Luisa and we arrived a little early, and they allowed us to check in early. She also provided us with taxi number for checking out by quickly responding the night before we left. The bnb had lots of hot water, comfy beds, great windows, and a little stove area if you wanted to cook. Location was perfect and quiet, everything within walking distance and close to some awesome restaurants!
