This lakeshore cottage has a great view and is kept very clean. It has everything that you need, I especially like the bedroom with the bay window and the size of the kitchen. There were 4 of us and we didn't feel crowded in the kitchen, so everyone helped out cooking. We will definitely visit here again in the summer.
Also, great movie selections, they have genres for everyone.
Our Hosts showed us around the cottage, they pointed out everything we'd need to know about it. They explained how to use the appliances, the garbage/recycling system, how to operate the heat etc. They were very thorough. The gave us terrific suggestions for local places to visit. The Balls Falls Festival was a highlight of our trip.
My husband and I (and our pup!) had an awesome long weekend here! Paul was very responsive and great to work with in planning our stay, and he and Shoshana gave us a nice welcome, showing us all of the important things in the cottage and local area. The cottage was great - clean and comfortable, and the lake views were wonderful. We enjoyed walking the beach, seeing incredible sunrises and sunsets, relaxing in the yard, and cooking in the well-equipped kitchen. The fenced in front yard for our dog was an added benefit. We truly enjoyed our stay in this comfortable cottage and hope to come back again!
This location was a great location right on the lake. We had fun playing in the waves and having a fire on the beach. Paul was excellent in giving us ideas and directions to things to do. Even a very cool fishing spot we would have never found on our own. The cottage has everything you would need. It is big and has a great deck to eat outside and relax.
Paul and Shoshana are amazing hosts! They showed us all around the cottage and let us know where all the amenities were (towels, electronics, water toys). We had a wonderful stay for 4 days - enjoying walking out into water and relaxing on the back deck to watch the sunset. The view of Lake Erie is so calming and beautiful. The cottage has a spacious and well-equipped kitchen, which is great for groups and cooking together. Definitely stay here if you want a great getaway from the city (and only a short drive away from vineyards and Port Colborne if you need extra groceries or want to try the local restaurants).
This is a really lovely cottage in a perfect location. Its very clean and well equipped. The hosts, Paul and Shoshana could not have been more helpful. Just a shame the weather wasn't better. Thank you so much.
We are both retired teachers; Paul is professor emeritus at Brock University where he taught psychology, neuroscience, and Eastern philosophy for 37 years. Shoshana’s career involved teaching costume construction at Niagara College, designing hand painted silk jewelry, and teaching visual art at the high school level. We have a variety of paintings and art photography in our Lake House Art studio that is part of the “Arts and Culture Route” of Niagara’s south coast. Our interests include travel, art and conservation, as well; we enjoy preparing a variety of foods to promote the international Slow Foods organization.
