  • We had a wonderful time in Niagara Falls. David and Ethyl pointed us (email hidden) about 8 blocks away (Taps Brewhouse). It was great! We also enjoyed the "Adventure Pass" for $50 (Falls Movie, Tour in tunnels behind the falls and under the falls, White-water rapids trail (about 1 mile North of the falls), and the boat that puts you in the mist of the falls). This was well worth the money for all 4 tours.

We greatly enjoyed spending some time with David and Ethyl while we were in town. They are very pleasant to converse with. They made us feel at home. The breakfasts were wonderful with fresh fruit each day along with and assortment of breads. They provided a different main course (french toast, pancakes, Singapore omelet, waffles).

David is constantly improving the house.

The location in about 1.5 blocks from the Niagara River. We were able to keep US cell service while at his house. The wifi was very speedy at the house.

We left the hosts with some more pictures of the rooms that they can share on AirBNB (wide angle lens on a GoPro camera) to give a better feel for the size of the rooms.

The only downside was that "Room 1" is not physically connected to it's dedicated bathroom.

AirBNB was experiencing some issues with their communication system as our appointment approached. I asked a few questions about rental cars. David responded, but the messages didn't come through to me. It was clear that David did try to respond.

My questions surrounded the ability to rent a car in the US (Buffalo airport), and driving it into Canada. I called all of the rental car places. They all said this is perfectly acceptable.

We ended up not using the car very much in Canada because many things are walking distance from the BnB.
There were fireworks on Friday at 10pm over the falls. Great show!

You need a passport to cross the border.
There is a toll on both sides of the bridge as you enter Canada, and no tolls as you leave Canada to the US side.

The best advice for getting the best currency exchange rate is to use your ATM to pull cash.

There is a crazy street down by the falls called Clifton Hill. This has a bunch of crazy places like Ripley's Believe it or Not, Wax Museums, and a bunch of kid-type-stuff. It was neat to walk the street to see the craziness, but we didn't spend money there.

This would be a great town to have a bicycle!

Spend some time just watching the falls. They are amazing!

  • Zona tranquilla, vicina alle cascate ma lontana dal caos! L'accoglienza è stata eccellente, la camera era carina e pulita. La colazione è abbondante e soprattutto squisita!

  • We had very little time at David's b&b due to our schedule, however the room was exactly as advertised- nice clean spacious and cosy. David was a very helpful and welcoming host. I can happily recommend this room to others.

  • We group of 3 and a car have a great stay at David's rooms. Parking at the drive way away from the street is nice. And breakfast is delicious with various fruit. If you have a car, I recommend Dufferin park near the falls, parking is free with lots of picnic area, and is closer to the falls at Canada side.
