About this listing

Small one bedroom apartment close to Aalborg city center. the apartment is great for 2-4 people but can fit a fifth if necessary. there is plenty and free parking.

The space

About the apartment.
The Apartment is a one bedroom apartment, with a 180x200cm bed in the bedroom with extra-long blankets, 220cm long. In the living room there is a foldout couch 140x200 cm where 2 people can sleep as well. The kitchen contains everything you could need for everyday cooking (stove, oven, blender, coffee maker, water boiler, breadtoaster.

The apartment is located at the second floor, around 2 km from Aalborg. Just across Limfjorden, within 50 meters from the apartment is plenty of free all day parking (something that can be hard to find in Aalborg.) I don’t smoke and therefore the apartment is also smoke free.
When you rent the apartment you will get a key for the apartment, this key works for the door to the apartment and also to the front door and the basement door, if you need you can get an extra key if you a several people and need so.
There is free wifi in the apartment, 20/2 mbit.

When you rent the apartment.
You will of course have the apartment to yourself; I will be living at a friends house. There will be clean sheets for the bed for up to 4 people and there will be towels for you as well. When it comes to food I have the general idea that the main parts of the meal you will buy yourself but when it comes to spices, flower, and sugar or stuff like that it makes no sense that you should by a kilo if you just need a bit, so feel free to use of mine.
I do not charge for cleaning because my general idea is that I leave the apartment clean and get it back the same way, I don’t expect people to vacuum clean or do anything major, just that people clean after themselves.

The area.
Within 500 meters of the apartment you will find a small shopping mall a park and a Olympic sized swimming pool with separate children’s area and a adult area with spa’s and saunas. 200 meters from the apartment there is a busstop where busses go directly to the centrum of Aalborg including the bus and train station from where you can go most places in Aalborg. In Aalborg you will find great shopping possibilities and the famous Jomfru Ane Gade (Virgin Ane Street) a street full of discos. 2 km north of the apartment is an old Viking burial ground and with that a museum and a café serving Viking foods.

About the host (me)
My name is Martin and I’m 25 years old, I am currently taking my Masters at Aalborg university studying International Business Economics. I live alone in my apartment in Nørresundby where I am born and raised, therefore I am familiar with the Aalborg and the area. I am very open and consider myself helpful so if there is anything I can help with –regarding the stay or just in general I am more than happy to help you, I enjoy interacting with people from other cultures which I also do in my studies where I study with people from all over the world.

The TV is only used for HDMI cable and does not have any tv channels

All in all I hope my apartment is what you are looking for and if you have any questions at all feel free to ask me.

Nice, cosy and well-equipped apartment. The place was very well-kept and gave a very homely feeling. Martin was also very friendly and helpful. Would recommend this apartment to anyone visiting Aalborg.

Martin was a great host. He welcomed us at his place, gave us some tips on the area and showed us the communal laundry facilities. He was also very flexible with arrival/departure times, which we appreciated greatly. His place was tidy and spacious, and we had a comfortable stay. The apartment wasn't particularly clean, but that being said, Martin doesn't charge for cleaning. The location suited us to explore Aalborg and Northern Denmark. It is a 25 minute walk to Aalborg centre, 35 minutes to Aalborg train station, and 10 minutes to Norresundby town (where there are shops, cafes, supermarkets). The bus from the station drops you 50m from the apartment. I would note that from what we could tell, this apartment block is mostly student housing. That didn't bother us particularly, but our neighbours did have super loud music going most days and throughout the nights. So, while the apartment was nice and Martin was great, we would probably opt to stay closer to town next time... and would recommend this as a good budget option. Cheers Martin!
