Enjoy "KENTUCKY DERBY 140" in this fabulous 1891 historic home in Old Louisville! This dynamite location is ONLY 2 1/4 miles from Churchill Downs and is situated in the largest preservation district in the United States featuring almost entirely Victorian style architecture.
After a long day at the Derby or just out roaming around Louisville, you can sit back and relax in this "back in time," comfy, nostalgic environment.
This home features beautiful woodwork along with eight fireplaces (nonworking), foyer, living room, dining room, pool room, five bedrooms, eat-in kitchen, and two bathrooms. The first and second floor have about 5,000 square feet of space to enjoy.
All bedrooms have fireplaces. The bedrooms are different sizes and the number of beds in each room will depend on what is needed. The upstairs bathroom contains a large shower, and there is a half bath downstairs.
The kitchen is equipped with a gas stove, refrigerator with icemaker, microwave, coffee pot, hot water kettle, pots and pans, dishes, and utensils, etc.
We will be in the house throughout the weekend to make sure you have everything you need. It's a lot of fun to meet new people who come to Louisville to experience the Derby, and we look forward to meeting you and doing whatever we can to make your visit enjoyable.
When you step outside, you can enjoy a leisurely stroll through this uniquely mesmerizing neighborhood and are only minutes walking distance away from Central Park and the famous St. James neighborhood.
You will find yourself minutes away from downtown and the magestic Ohio River, not to mention the many restaurants, shops, and Fourth Street Live. In addition, ten minutes away there is one of Louisville's most popular hotspots, Bardstown Road, with lots of fine restaurants, bars, and unique shopping opportunities. Getting around town is also easy as I-65 is five minutes away, and the airport is a 15 minute drive from here. Public transit is just a few minutes away on Fourth Street which will be going in the direction of Churchill Downs. I-65 North/South is also just a few minute drive from here.
If there is a group of people interested in staying here, let me know as we will have several rooms available.
