This is modern and vintage-decorated apartment in one of the most beautiful neighborhoods of Santiago: Barrio República, full of historic buildings, urban life and restaurants.
The apartment has two bedrooms and two bathrooms, and one of them each are offered for accomodation. The bedroom has a comfortable trundle bed which means that two people fit perfect. It also has wide cabinets and natural light.
The room includes a private bathroom with shower, towels and all the necessary equipment for use it independently.
The living room includes a very comfortable sofa and a 32" LCD, TV Cable, Playstation 3 and a collection of bluray movies. The dinning table it has capacity for eight people and is very nice since is a replique of old vintage tables "supersonic" style.
The kitchen, the dinning table and the living room as well are common use areas. The building has a barbecue place in the roof top and a swimming pool that you can use as well.
The neighborhood has a great architectural value for its ancient houses, which originally housed families of the Chilean aristocracy, which to migrate became occupied as embassies and diplomats.
Today these houses have been converted into offices of educational institutions, both universities and career centers. We highlight the library "Nicanor Parra" belonging to the Universidad Diego Portales (add link)
or the mansion that houses the museum Salvador Allende.
A couple of blocks from the apartment is the Parque O'Higgins, one of the main green lungs of the city of Santiago, which has the largest amusement park in the city, Fantasyland. In addition, here are performed major music events in the country, as Lolapallooza.
Was such a great experience to stay at Caco's flat!
The flat looks exactly like you would imagine from the available photos. Neighbourhood is both characterised as residential and by its multiple universities, very charming. Situated close to the historic centre, and with Santiago's well functioning metro system and its inexpensive cabs, you can quickly get to Providencia (with its many excellent restaurants and some of the city's finest hotels).
The owner of the flat and your host Caco is an extraordinary and extremely thoughtful host. Incredibly kind and helpful!
Made my stay truly unique! Thank you!
I had a great stay at this place. It is actually owned by his friend Caco. Caco was an excellent host and made me feel right at home. He gave me pointers to restaurants, and places to visit. Also he speaks very good english which can be very helpful if you do not know much spanish like in my case. He is also a genuinely nice person who wants you to have a great stay in Santiago.
The apartment is in a great location as well. It was very quite, while still very accessible to all parts of Santiago due to its proximity to the metro. It is also very clean and enough for space for me. I stayed there for 2 weeks and had no trouble at all. When I arrived, I found the room and the washroom to be spotlessly clean. Also he gets someone to come and clean the apartment every week - which keeps the place tidy. I would highly recommend this for single travellers.
Caco (the owner of the flat) is a great host and we enjoyed our time at his place. The flat is located between a lot of universities, so while it's a busy area, at night there is not a lot going on in the nearby streets. The flat is centrally located.
Andrés is a very cool and professional property manager. He was very nice and helpfull, he managed everything that we can arrive well in his place. We definetely recommend him as a host to all airbnb community.
Actually, we stayed in Andres' friend place, Caco, his place is adorable, the appartment is great, in downtown area, close to everything. Caco is a really nice host, really social and open mind person and he gave us a lot of informations regarding our inquiries. We can fully recommend Caco to other hosts!

I didn't spend much time with Andres, but I did share an apartment with his friend Enrique (aka Caco). Caco was AWESOME! I could not have asked for a better host. He's super nice, laid back, speaks English really well and was willing to help me with anything I needed help with. He even bought me Chinese food on my first night in Chile since I only had American money on me. I've already told him that when he comes to NYC, I'd be glad to do whatever I can to help him out. It's the least that I could do after everything he's done for me. He's taught me so much about Chilean culture and society, and without him, I would have made a lot more stupid gringo mistakes. I consider Caco a friend now. I really hope he comes to NYC to visit me sometime, and if you choose to live with him, you will definitely not regret it.
The flat is really good and clean. It's very close to the metro station and some supermarkets. It's located in a quiet neighborhood, in college area, and it is also minutes away (walking distance) from the biggest theme park of Santiago, Fantasilandia. I stayed there for 6 nights with my brother, we hadn't have a chance to meet Andres, however he was always very nice by e-mail, and we were very welcomed by Henrique who hosted us and gave us really nice tips of places to go. The room we stayed was really comfy although being a little small for two people, unless you're a couple. The bathroom is also small, but it was not a problem at all. The kitchen is fully equipped and the living/diner room is very spacious. It was very worthy staying there!
We stayed 5 nights in Enrique's flat. The place is great, really modern and clean. The location is also really good, with the tube next to it. Enrique is a great host: he helped us about places to visit in Santiago and he was always available to talk about many interesting topics. We also met Andres, the owner of the airbnb account: he is a nice and fun guy.
Todo estuvo muy bien. El anfitrión fue muy amable y el departamento estaba impecable.
