  • While we enjoyed getting to know Louisville with our visit this past weekend, staying in Chris' vintage loft was the icing on the cake. What a pleasure to come back to this fabulous space at the end of the day, all the comforts of home + more, we heartily agree with other reviewers as to the perks of staying here.

Conveniently located to so many great restaurants & shops in NuLu, this is an ideal place to base yourself in Louisville. This was our first AirBnB experience and I have a sneaking suspicion that the bar has been set mighty high - we never want to go to hotels again!

  • Chris was an extremely gracious host, had the Loft well provisioned and polished and it is I might add, physically a great downtown loft. It is close enough to downtown to be handy, but not in the center enough to be chaotic. It is also a short walk to "NewLou", which has some great spots to eat and shop.
I would give two thumbs up to both Chris and his loft!

  • I met Dan on time at their loft and was pleasantly surprised at how well thought out the loft and set up was. Dan (email hidden)" and had really taken care of every last detail. Very thankful to have an awesome first experience with Airbnb and their beautiful loft. Thanks guys!

  • I echo all the other positive reviews of Chris as a host, as well as his gorgeous loft! His home was spacious and immaculate, and my friend and I were treated like guests in a luxury hotel. Chris left us a bottle of champagne in the fridge and a basket of goodies on the counter, bikes if we wanted them, plus all the toiletries and amenities we could need. He made up the couch for us as an extra bed, which was super comfortable. The loft was very centrally located, with easy walking access to NuLu and downtown. Highly recommend!

  • Chris helped make our first time in Louisville a great one. The loft was fantastic, super comfy bed and a great location for exploring downtown L'ville. Chris made us feel right at home and even left some breakfast goodies for us to eat. This was our first time using AirBnB as well so we were very glad that we had a positive experience our first time and would gladly stay here again.

  • We had a great stay at Chris's place. Their home is beautiful and they are extremely welcoming. The condo is in a great location. It is near a number of great restaurants and attractions. I cannot recommend their place highly enough.

  • Rather than spending our festival weekend in a hotel, my boyfriend and I opted for Chris' downtown Louisville loft, a decision we later agreed largely contributed to the success of our weekend. Not only was Chris' loft absolutely beautiful, he was the most kind and accommodating host we could have hoped for.

Taylor and I mistakenly failed to account for the time change between us and Chris, arriving hours later than we had told Chris to expect us. Embarrassed and apologetic, we arrived at the loft to meet Chris who greeted us warmly with a kind smile, strong hand shake, and "no worries!", despite our gross miscalculation. Chris showed us around the loft, inviting us to smoke on the balcony should we be smokers, even showing us how to use the advanced sound system and coffee percolater (both were fantastic and well utilized!). On the bathroom counter he had left sunscreen and Excedrin, two items Taylor and I failed to bring that later became lifesavers.

Chris' thoughtfulness extended into the kitchen where, even beyond fantastic coffee, he had stocked 3 different types of bagels, juice, eggs, and vegetables for our mornings of recovery, not to mention a basket full of late night munchies.

The location of the loft could not have been more perfect either! We were a five minute walk from Forecastle, a trip we made multiple times just out of sheer convenience. "Oh, forgot something? No big deal, I'll be back in 10 minutes." Being downtown put us in close proximity to terrific restaurants and bars, and our weekend was spent gushing about "how close the loft is!" rather than the typical "gah, I wish we weren't so far away!" It was a beautiful change, and we were and still are immensely grateful.

My experience with Chris and his loft could not have been more perfect. Though we met as strangers, I feel we left as friends, and that's how airbnb experiences should feel. Taylor and I wanted for nothing; Chris was a great communicator and host; the loft was stunning. We will absolutely return (hopefully next year for Forecastle!), and would HIGHLY recommend Chris and the loft to anyone interested in exploring Louisville or just passing through. You won't be disappointed.

  • Chris could not have done a better job with his loft rental. The place was in perfect condition, and he went to all ends to make us feel comfortable. We had a bottle of champagne waiting, bagels for breakfast, etc. The loft is located in a great part of Louisville, close to many great restaurants and entertainment. I would absolutely (email hidden) again next time that I am in town. Great weekend.
