Silvana was very responsive to text messages to her phone, not as much to email messages.
She changed the comforter right away when I told her there was large stain that had been covered, and provided a new comforter.
The place itself leaves much to be desired.
Firstly the photo is not accurate - it is taken from the entrance of the apartment and the buildings shown are across the street.
Overall the apartment was quite shabby and dusty. It had not been painted in years. Most of the furniture is rickety. The floor grilles are very dusty as are the walls. Some strange blanket covered what seems like an airconditioner in the window.
The apartment is also right next to the street and the street noise is very loud.
When we first arrived, we had a lot of trouble getting the keys. Silvana dropped everything and came to give us her personal set of keys! She was such a wonderful host. The apartment got the job done- the mattress felt like a dorm mattress, but was a safe place to sleep. If I come to philly again, I would look into staying with Silvana again!
My stay in Silvana's apartment was great for my short visit to Philadelphia. Comfortable, close to bars, cafes and restaurants. Silvana is easy to communicate with. Highly recommend!
silvana was awesome. she called me when i was on my way to tell me that the place was ready ahead of schedule. i was just going to wander around until afternoon but it made it better to drop my stuff off first. she was really friendly and made sure everything was in order before we arrived. the place was really clean and on a quiet street. it was a very nice neighborhood. lots of cool restaurants and bars within walking distance!
