Julian Estates is the perfect stay for your business trip, your 'stay-cation', your romantic weekend, or anytime you want to relax in beauty and serenity conveniently located in St. Louis city's beautiful West End neighborhood.
Your second floor suite is exceptionally large, bright, and relaxing. The bed is queen sized with premium linens. The bathroom includes a massively large soaker tub, separate shower and is stocked with high grade soaps, lotions, and towels.
Julian Estates is the name I have given to my 3 story, completely rehabbed and repurposed home. My house was built in 1907. I live on the 3rd floor and the large 2nd floor is where guests stay. Julian Estates has greater than an acre of land in the rear of the property with several raised beds planted with vegetables and fruits. In my quest to be sustainable and the “ultimate urban farmer”, I also have chickens. Feel free to partake in anything in the garden that is in bloom during your stay.
I am a thrift store hound so your room is artistically decorated with one of a kind finds. There is a coffee maker, a microwave, a mini-fridge in the room pre-stocked with water bottles, a large flat screen television, cable, and high-speed wireless internet. I now have loaner bikes as well!! There is ample closet space in the bedroom to store your luggage and souvenirs. Partake in any of my St. Louis history and guide books that adorn the night stand. I even have a book written by my father, "A Free Mind In The City" for guests to enjoy! A true St. Louis original!
Julian Estates is conveniently located half a mile from the Delmar Loop. The Delmar Loop is where you will find all the amazing ethnically diverse restaurants, the Center of Creative Arts, (COCA), the Regional Arts Commission, (RAC), and a plethora of unique boutiques. The Loop is a walking area that is always fun and filled with people from all over the world.
Julian Estates is (0.8 miles) from Forest Park, The Missouri History Museum (free admission), The Art Museum (free), and the amazing world-class St. Louis Zoo (free). I am 8.5 miles from the airport and just call/text me in advance and if available, I’ll pick you up or drop you off. If you choose to rent a car or are driving, I have off street parking in my two driveways. There are several buses nearby and the Metro Link is half a mile away. Julian Estates is approximately a mile and a half away from Washington University and Barnes Jewish Hospital. My alma mater, Saint Louis University is approximately 3-4 miles away.
If you choose to stay at Julian Estates, you will receive a 4 or 5 digit key code that allows you access to your room. Your suite is equipped with a punch code lock that allows you privacy and extra security.
Guests receive a goody basket typically containing items like oatmeal, trail mix, breakfast bars, and/or fruit.
I would prefer if full meals are not prepared on the stove, but anything small like soup or scrambled eggs is fine. I do not eat pork and respectfully ask that it is not prepared or cooked in my kitchen.
I have a 7lb pink poodle named Brooklyn. He is friendly, yet generally always on the third floor with me or outside with me in the garden.
Julian Estates is located in a city neighborhood. I have lived here six years and my neighbors on the left and right have lived on this street for 30+ years. If you love the vitality and richness that city dwelling offers you then Julian Estates is the right place for you.
I am a total Saint Louis city advocate and boost and promote my community every chance I get! My community is diverse ethnically, economically, and by sexual orientation. However, if you are more comfortable with suburban facades and their false sense of “safety” than the history and uniqueness of urban dwelling, you may want to explore other options. Additionally, I have painstakingly restored my home from top to bottom and must insist that it is respected so if you’re looking for a party house or a place to release your wild inhibitions….you should look elsewhere. If you’re ready for urban luxury and history located in the middle of fabulous St. Louis City, Julian Estates is the locale for you. Hope to see you soon!

The suite was great & the host even better. The suite was clean & comfortable. I would definitely visit Julian Estates again. The location was perfect, about 15 minutes from all the tourist spots & activity. Rasheedah was easy to communicate with & made us feel welcome in her home.
Rasheedah's place was awesome! The bathroom was a awesome and the house was historically beautiful! Rasheedah was a great host and made it feel like home! I would recommend this place to anyone!!
Absolutely loved our stay here! It was the best vacation stay we could have asked for. Rasheedah was super nice to us, extremely helpful and more hospitable than we could have ever imagined. The room we stayed in was clean and gorgeous, supplied with everything needed to make our stay great. The bathroom was absolutely gorgeous, with the jacuzzi tub and beautiful decor. We couldn't have been happier with our choice and we certainly plan on staying there again in the near future!
If we had to rate this residence and owner on a scale of 5 stars, we would give Rasheedah a TEN!
Rasheedah Furqan is a lovely, warm person and we enjoyed our stay in her home. She has decorated her whole house, inside and out, for the holidays; everything was warm and inviting. The bed was very comfortable and the neighborhood quiet - we enjoyed a good night's sleep. She provided ground coffee and coffee maker as well as a refrigerator and microwave and nice dishes so we could make breakfast in the morning.
Rasheedah went out of her way to make us feel welcome and is working hard to make Julian Estates a comfortable home-away-from-home for travelers.
Very pleasant weekend stay. Enjoyed the room and wonderful soaker tub. Everything was tastefully decorated, and a nice welcome basket was waiting for us.
We enjoyed meeting Rasheedah. She went out of her way to make us feel at home.
We had a great time at Rasheeda's. The room was homey and very nicely decorated and we found a welcome surprise in how involved Rasheeda was with the general upkeep of the house as well as her own projects. She was welcoming, friendly and definitely made our first Airbnb experience a great one. We highly recommend staying with Rasheeda if you're looking around in St. Louis.
The purpose of my trip was to attend a conference which was held in downtown St.Louis. It was very convenient to get from the Rasheedah's place to downtown by taking Metrolink train which is at about 25 min walking distance from her home. There is also a bus that stops near her place which takes you right to the Metrolink station. The house is gorgeous, with many antique details. Rasheedah is a great host, very accommodating and caring. The bedroom and the bathroom are very cozy and beautiful.
The accommodations were very cozy. The hostess was delightful and ensured I felt very comfortable in my suite. The arrangement was a great value for me.
I was close enough to walk to historic Forest Park from the residence--where I could easily catch the Metrolink to downtown, or the airport. It was very convenient. I recommend using a cab or walking in a group at night, but during the day the walk was pleasant and exposed the traveler to diverse neighborhoods and architecture.
Rasheedah thoughtfully provided bikes for those a bit more ambitious.
I thoroughly enjoyed my time here...I was well rested and I would stay here again.
