Cheerful Private Room in Montreal

Apartment - Private room · Rue Alexandre de Sève, Montreal, QC H2L 2T7, Canada

The Space

This cheerful apartment is the perfect place for a quick getaway to Montreal. Located in the heart of the Gay Village and just a step away from some of Montreal's greatest treats you will find tons to visit while staying in affordable comfort. See my guidebook for a wealth of ideas.

In both directions you have a metro within 5 minutes walking distance. A 10-15 minute (yes, I timed it) walk will bring you to Berri, the city's largest metro hub from where you can go anywhere. Here you will also find the bus station and the shuttle drop off location from the airport.

There is one private bedroom available and a bathroom that is shared. You are literally steps away from amazing restaurants, cafes and bars. Saint-Catherine, which you can see is half a block away on the map, is blocked off in the summer in this area for over 1 km and is a great place for a stroll and all of the festivals. Opening the street to the public has had a huge impact on the area since they started doing it a few years ago. Due to increasing business opportunities the area is attracting more and more high-quality restaurants and enterprises. This is one of the up and coming areas of Montreal.

You have easy access to all the summer fireworks. As a local I can give you the low-down on all the hotspots to suit your specific needs whether you're looking for a great bike ride or a hole in the wall bar.

Also of note, despite our close proximity to Sainte-Catherine this place is on a pleasant street. We are across from a park, church and a retirement home; ideal neighbours when downtown. Parking is usually easy to find nearby.

PARKING: I offer a free valet service to a parking location in a safe neighbourhood in NDG. It is just 10 minutes on the highway from my place.

Other then the room itself we offer:
• Free wifi
• Linen and Two Towels
• Coffee & Tea
• Wealth of Knowledge of the area and Montreal (I've lived here my whole life)
• Washer & Dryer
• Dining Area
• Microwave
• Kitchen
• Lovely lounging area
• Patio
• Parking spot (Important to let me know if you plan to use it as I periodically rent it out)

  • The stay at Jonny's place was excellent. His apartment is clean and the room is spacious. The apartment is conveniently located close to the metro, markets, food, etc. It's also located on a very quiet street so you can actually come back to his place and retreat from the city if need be. Jonny was an awesome host and he helped me navigate the city and answered all the questions I had. He also emailed me prior to my stay to confirm and make sure if I didn't have any questions and stuff. Much more, Jonny is a very nice guy and you can have easy conversations with him. I think we talked about a lot of subjects while I was staying there. I would highly recommend his place to stay at if you will be in the Montreal area.

  • I had a great stay at Jonny's apartment. The location could not be better. It was close to many bars and restaurants and only steps away from two Metro stations. I walked all over the city from this apartment. The apartment was clean and bright and was stocked with everything you would need for a fun weekend away. The bedroom was big and has a comfortable bed. I would definitely stay here again.

  • We stayed just a night at Jonny's on our way to Quebec city. We went to Igloofest Festival and it was perfect for us we just left the car on the parking sport and walked to the pier. We really enjoyed the neighbor, coffee shops, stores, and restaurants on Sainte Catherine st. The room and the bathroom were really clean and the bed confortable. Also, here was an easy acces to the parking lot, really convenient. I recommend this place to stay in Montreal.

  • Jonny was helpful and kind; I enjoyed our conversations and the laid back atmosphere of his place. The location is very central in the Gay Village and that made it a good match for which I was looking.
The bed was comfortable and the wifi worked great. So all in all, I was very pleased with my first airbnb experience. Thanks Jonny!

  • Jonny was a great host. His room is in a great location and was very clean and comfortable. I arrived on a very rainy day, and he gave me great suggestions of "indoor activities" that might be fun in Montreal. Enjoyed my stay and would stay there again.

  • Location location location! If you're looking to enjoy the village, this is the place to stay. Bars and restaurants are all at your feet as soon as you walk out of the apartment. The place was kept nice and neat and the room was bigger than expected. Although I didn't get to meet Jonny, his friend that met me to hand me the keys was nice. He showed me where I was staying and left quickly. I would definitely consider staying here for future visits to Montreal. Affordable, neat, and close to everything.
