A small private room on the 1st floor!

The Space

The city’s only Dormitory/Hostel Style accommodation for travelers.

Owner Susan Angel, with the help of talented friends and community, revitalized the building using up-cycled and reclaimed materials, creating an organic, Earth-friendly atmosphere. the Bunk Haus OTR provides 1 private room, comfy bunks, rooms adorned with unique art and mosaic tile floors. A really cool, I mean HOT steam room ($5 donation) gives guests a chance to relax with aromas of mint extract and eucalyptus! Step into the common area's kitchenette to mix up some fresh local food and enjoy the Fuel Gallery ambiance of local art, music and community.

  • Perfect | I spent three weeks in the BunkHaus 9 private for work.. Over the Rhine is an area of Cincinnati which is rapidly being gentrified and, as a result, there are lots of lovely bars, shops, restaurants and coffee shops. Susan is a fantastic host and was always really helpful. Lots of really cool art in the common area, where you can go to eat or chat with the other tenants. Check out the stream room too! I'll stay again if I return to Cincinnati.

  • Susan was very accommodating and I enjoyed my stay. She told me which neighborhoods to not go into, and was very helpful overall. I loved the building, and the next time I'm in Cincinnati I know where I'll be staying.

I own "ghettopia", OTR's Bunk Haus. I have men and women's dorm style Bunks. On Final Fridays (the last Friday of the month) we have live music and artistic media, and all the galleries are open on Main. I am also the Director of a non-profit organization for returning citizens and those with barriers to employment, that aims to reduce recidivism and create healthier communities. I love bike riding, so bring your own, or use one of ours! Oh yes, and if you like Reiki and alternative healing, we'll have a lot to talk about! Visit "ghettopia" the little Bunk Haus on Main st....Over The Rhine...in the Heart of Cincinnati! You are so welcome here! Some amazing experiences were my Travels, to Molokai, Paris, Amsterdam, Brussels, Barcelona, India, and I taught on the Navajo Reservation, Nenahnezad, New Mexico, very beautiful lands!!! I lived in the high hills of Eastern Kentucky and off the grid in Molakai, HI. I opened the first alternative fuel transportation company in Cincinnati. and ran all vehicles on CNG.
