Artful Peachland Cottage

Cabin - Entire home/apt · Anthony Street, Sebastopol, CA 95472, United States

Sweet little Peachland Cottage sits behind our 1940's house on a quiet street in the centrally located town of Sebastopol in western Sonoma County.

The Space

The sleeping loft accommodates two people with a full size futon and egg crate topper (which is super comfy). The sitting area downstairs has a small sofa, writing desk (wi-fi available) and room for your belongings. There is a half bath (toilet and small sink), small refrigerator, electric kettle, water dispenser and basic utensils. We provide some delicious coffee and teas to make at your leisure as well as fruit and yogurt and muffins or breads if we have been baking.

Guest Access

This is a more rustic style property and includes an outdoor shower and sink, both with hot water. Towels and a big cozy robe are provided. There is also an outdoor seating area and you are welcome to enjoy the garden. Sorry we are not able to accomodate any pets.

The Neighborhood

Our friendly yet quiet neighborhood is in excellent walking distance to the town of Sebastopol which offers great food, coffee, shops, live music, farmers market (Sundays), galleries, vintage clothing stores, parks, library and even an excellent public outdoor pool. Biking trails are easily accessed and we are close to several other towns that are worth exploring; Graton, Freestone (with their famous Wild Flour Bakery and Osmosis Spa), Occidental and Bodega and Healdsburg.

Getting around

We are one hour north of the Golden Gate Bridge. The Sonoma Coast is a 15 minute drive and Calistoga in the Napa Valley is only a 35 minute drive to soaking in the wonderful mineral pools. There are many and varied possibilities for Wine tasting and a plethora of festivals take place in Sonoma County from music to wine, art, apples, film and even a Handcar Regatta. And, swimming or kayaking the Russian River is just 20 minutes away.

  • What a lovely cottage and gracious hostess! Carla & her cottage were a real gift during my stay in Sebastopol, California. I never slept so well, something magical going on there. The touches of flowers, fruit, and cozy space were a delight. Waking to the birds singing, and it had the quiet feel of being away, yet so close to town I could walk to shops. Carla is a wealth of knowledge of the town, and suggested some wonderful things to do while I was there. Also, helped to guide me to places to dine. I am Vegan and eat primarily raw foods, and I had no trouble. In fact, I had a hard time deciding from menus. This cottage is close to so many fun things, hikes, shops, a few other towns, if you want to go. The coast, Bodega Head, was less than 30 minutes, and got in some whale watching while there. Redwoods, hikes, orchards, wineries, you name it, and you are near it! I would return in a heartbeat, and am considering a move there. Enjoy!
The cottage also has a tea/coffee pot, a small fridge for snacks and your leftovers from town, plenty of outlets, cozy couch, writing desk, and enough light in the loft to read at night. Perfect.

  • It was really lovely staying at Carla's artful and eco-friendly cottage. Everything worked just perfectly for me. The cottage is a short 10-15 mins walk from Sebastopol town center, a relaxing and lovely walk I enjoyed every day. I wish I had more time to stay there and talk to Carla more. She was super easy to communicate with and I appreciate the clear directions she provided prior to me getting there, and the local map while I'm there. Will definitely consider going back if I ever go to Sebastopol.

  • The cottage is small but Carla has thought it through and we were most comfortable. We had a problem with the internet and Carla went right out and got a booster that day.

As a host, Carla is the best with good maps and suggestions. The last night she highly recommended Peter Lowell local organic eatery and now we do!!! Best meal of the trip by far.... and reasonable!

  • This is a beautiful, charming cottage in a lovely, peaceful neighborhood. Carla is wonderful. She is so caring and welcoming, and has such a peaceful, calming aura. The cottage is full of lovely details that make one feel right at home. Those details include beautiful chairs in the outdoor area, towels and organic soap with the outdoor sink and shower, and utensils, tea, and coffee inside the cottage!

I highly recommend this cottage for a peaceful, charming stay in Sebastopol!

  • Carla was very friendly and was happy to shorten my stay by a day since the internet wasn't working for my computer. Her place was very clean and had all that one could need. Outdoor shower was refreshing.

  • Carla's cottage was a sweet oasis. Conveniently located and just right for a few days stay with lots of daytime sightseeing. Carla was a great support for finding excellent restaurants and entertainment. We also enjoyed the thoughtfulness of everything in the space, from tea to flowers. Only challenge was braving the chilly nights/mornings with sink and shower outside, but it was all well worth it and a sweet time. Thank you!

  • A sweet cottage perfect for 1 person or a couple. The neighborhood is lovely and convenient to a grocery store, restaurants, and major travel roads. The cottage itself was perfectly decorated with great attention to little artistic and home-like details. I loved the bunk sleeping area and appreciated that Carla provided amenities like a guide book for local hikes (which I used and followed the advised places to visit - perfect), and the raspberries and yogurt she left in the fridge. I would highly recommend this spot if you're looking for a clean, central, affordable place to rest your head. Wish I could have stayed longer!

  • Everything was perfect! Amazing and beautifully decorated cottage! Thanks Carla for the attention to detail and for making us feel right at home! Plus the bed was soooo comfy! We slept in well beyond what we do at home!

  • Perfect bungalow getaway! Thank you Carla for attention to every detail and being such a great host.

  • Carla responded quickly to my same-day booking for her cottage. I was eager to have a quiet, coastal retreat and this place did not disappoint! We were warmly welcomed and then given total privacy for the weekend. Although great for a couple that enjoy Tiny House specs, I think it would be perfect for a solo getaway or a writer retreat.
