I can't recommend Brookhirst enough! Victoria and George were fairly perfect hosts- delicious breakfast each morning, beautiful home, and they have lots of pretty incredible stories to share if you are interested. My boyfriend and I felt really lucky to have been able to spend a few days here - also lots of outdoor hiking/good eats/ etc within easy reach.
Like other reviews have noted - pictures don't do the place justice, it is really gorgeous.
Victoria and George - such a pleasure meeting you and we very much hope to be back!
George and Victoria made sure we had good directions to the B&B, they lit a fire for our arrival, and
they made sure our arrival was perfect. They are wonderful hosts and the property is breathtakingly beautiful. Breakfast was yummy every morning and we enjoyed our morning talks with George and Victoria. Our honeymoon was fabulous and we plan to visit again in the summer. If you have the chance to go please do, you will not regret it. The house, property, and the hosts are beautiful.
We had such a wonderful weekend here! We went to nearby Cranmore Mountain for snow tubing one day, then broke out the saucer sleds after a fresh snow the next. George and Victoria were wonderful hosts and breakfast both days was delicious. The older dogs came out for belly rubs in the morning while their puppy, Sid, chased us around while we played outside (adorable!). Other favorite things from here: the interesting decor, awesome huge fireplace with plenty of wood, bed and view in the Captain's Quarters, and the sauna. Also, George played Happy Birthday on the piano during breakfast since we were there for my friend's 30th - they both went above and beyond to make sure we enjoyed our stay. Thank you again, George and V!!!
We really enjoyed this Birthday Party group......"Beantown Buddies".....interesting & interested, full of appreciation and fun! Great to have Brookhirst Farm B&B as "the present" for Kerrie's 30th!! Rock on Beantowners!!! we have a beautiful new TV. so we too can watch the game!!

Our stay at Brookhirst Farm was everything we expected, and more. The views were stunning, breakfast was delicious and accompanied by great conversation and story telling, and the home itself was charming -- full of art, antiques, and other treasures. Being off the beaten path, the surroundings are tranquil and quiet -- perfect for really getting away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Outside, the only sounds you'll typically hear are the wind through the trees, the flow of water from the stream along the property, and the chirping of birds. We can't wait to get back and explore and experience the mountains in another season!
Our warm and unique hosts, Victoria and George, welcomed us to their 1800's farmhouse as if we were old friends. Situated deep within northern New Hampshire dotted with their own crystal clear reflective pond and majestic White Mountains of New Hampshire, provided a calm respite like we had not yet experienced in our travels. Their delicious breakfast were cooked by George, with Victoria conversing with us as well as George during our morning abundant wakeup.
Victoria provided us with clear directions to a horseback riding stable that had been in the family since the 1700s , 7 generations of one family. We were able to visit nearby towns during our daylight hrs and meet up with our son for his birthday as well.
I highly recommend this experience to those who love history, friendly dogs, of which there are three and a unique opportunity to experience what bed and breakfast experiences can be, unlike the lost art of hosting todays modern guest. You will not be disappointed.
