The space
Country bunkhouse on 11 acres with queen-sized bed, microwave, coffee maker, electric griddle, toaster, and fridge. Plumbed outdoor restroom with hot shower just steps away from the front door.

Plan on a 5-star glamping getaway and let us know how we can make your stay more perfect.

The Lone Star Bunkhouse isn't just a conveniently located, comfortable and clean place to lay your head; it's an experience to remember. We encourage you to spend an evening under the stars, serenaded by crickets, frogs and other wildlife, and comforted by the sound of water flowing through our fountain. Cook out on our gas or charcoal grill. Warm yourself by the fire pit, or drop a line in our country pond.

Take a stroll over to the pasture, where you'll see horses that our 501c3 horse rescue, saved from the slaughter pipeline. While on Lone Star property, the horses undergo training to prepare for Happily Ever After with qualified adopters. Proceeds from the Lone Star Bunkhouse help support rescue operations.

We've taken extraordinary measures to ensure you have an extraordinary experience here at the Lone Star Bunkhouse. If, for any reason, you consider rating us below 5 stars in any area, please let us know immediately so we can exceed your expectations. Perfection is our goal.

Enjoy! And come back soon and often.

Guest access
Self check-in with keybox entry. Country bunkhouse sits on 11 acres with a 4-stall barn, arena and round pen for traveling ranchers/farmers. Horse facilities available with additional charge. Free gravel parking lot, large enough for trailer or boat turnaround. Paved county road off State Hwy 51. Electric hookup.

Other things to note
We encourage you to walk over and see the horses we've saved from slaughter; however, we ask that you remain outside horse areas and refrain from feeding the horses. Some of the souls we save are on special diets and can't eat what other horses can eat.

Horses are majestic and soul-soothing creatures. They're also very big, very powerful, and very unpredictable. No matter how docile they appear, horses can be dangerous, so please do not enter horse areas.

Horse boarding and training facilities available for an additional daily fee.
