It has comfortable seating, a large plasma television, dvd player and stereo with iPod dock. Wifi is also available. It is heated by a very effective electric heater.

THINGS TO NOTE:
The original staircase in the property is open and has no child safe barriers. It is not recommend for children under 5 or 6 years of age.
The Kitchenette is not a full kitchen. It does however include a kettle, toaster, microwave and portable cooktop.
There is a strict no party policy, although you are of course encouraged to have a wine or two and relax and enjoy yourselves.

Battery Point is perhaps the best known historic area in Hobart, Trinity Hill, which sixtyone is located in the heart of, is an area that is also full of heritage properties. The majority of which were constructed between 1860 and 1920. The immediate area - Church Street and Warwick Streets in particular - represents a rare and focused collection of Hobart’s most significant residential heritage buildings.
The local bus service is one block away and runs very regularly (weekdays every 10 minutes). The house is very close to the city and waterfront, most guests just walk.
I would consider Damian an 'expert' host. The place is set up beautifully and he's thought of everything you'll need for your stay. Our group was a family of four with two young kids plus grandpa. A real treat for us was how little sound travelled through the house...you know what I mean, parents! We're hoping to make it back here soon. Thanks Damian!!
Sixty one was absolutely perfect for our family gathering in Hobart for a MONA weekend. Walking distance to the city centre, very comfortable and flexible living spaces and bedrooms and a very helpful host. Thanks very much Damian!
We loved staying at Damian's house. It was spotless, well decorated, with very cosy beds, lovely linen and in a great location. Damian was the perfect host, very helpful, even contacted me when I was out to notify us our car was parked in a 2 hour zone and moved it for us. Thank you Damian, we will definitely be recommending your house and be back again for a MONA weekend in 6 months.
sixtyone Hobart was an absolute highlight of my recent trip to Tasmania. Damian has created a house that combines the best of historic architecture and modern comfort. The space worked perfectly for the group I was traveling with and the location was ideal being close to the harbor area downtown and numerous restaurants as well as the art house cinema in Hobart.
Damian himself was a charming host and shared his suggestions on places to go and restaurants to try. His friendly and positive attitude made for an ideal stay. My only regret was that we couldn't have stayed longer.
Damian was an absolutely splendid, warm, generous host for a completely divine residence. He has lovingly put his stunning home together and no detail is missing. It is a simply beautiful place to stay in a perfect location and Damian was always on hand at a moment's notice for any questions or advice. I was with a group of 5 friends fresh out of a one-week hiking adventure and this place could not have been more perfect for us to relax, clean up, settle down and recuperate. It was a true joy staying here and meeting Damian. Thanks for everything. I highly recommend staying here if you are looking for something with all the fine details and touches of top class accommodation. Enjoy!
Damian's house is gorgeous! It's so close to everything in central Hobart, and we had such a lovely time. There was plenty of room for everyone, and everything is so new and clean it felt better than a posh hotel.
Damian had a whole list of local restaurants we could try, and we were able to walk into town whenever we wanted. We came to know the hill his house is on *quite* well. (All the better for walking off all that Christmas cake) There is a supermarket really close by too.
We loved meeting his Keeshond (dog) and wanted to take her home - she is a delight. And Damian couldn't have been a more accommodating host. Plus, his garden is exquisite.
Thank you Damian for making our Christmas visit to our Hobart cousins so very easy.
Our stay was amazing! We were warmly welcomed upon our arrival by Damian and were very impressed with the well appointed decor and spacious bedrooms. The city centre was a short pleasant walk away with beautiful scenery at every angle. The personal touches of fresh flowers, chocolates and fresh fruit made us feel very special and most welcome.
Thank you Damian I look forward to seeing you in Melbourne next time.

What a wonderful house in a fabulous position to explore a gorgeous city! Damian has done the most sympathetic, caring and well considered renovation on the house which has resulted in a wonderful modern, easy to stay in property which also acknowledges its past.
Damian was a wonderful host, made sure we were welcome; showed us everything in the house, has a great guide to the area include good restaurant recommendations, guides, markets and more.
Would stay here any time again. Great house. Wonderful set up. Fabulous host.
My family and I had the most amazing trip to Hobart, complemented by a beautiful home to go back to at the end of the day. The house is wonderfully set up by Damian who made us feel comfortable and at ease.
The house is walking distance to many excellent restaurants and very close to the city and Salamanca as well.
I would recommend Sixty One to anyone visiting Hobart and honestly believe it has been the best accommodation I have ever stayed in.
We were 2 couples staying at sixty-one, and from the moment we arrived to a wonderful supper prepared by our friends, we felt immediately at home in Damian's beautiful house. Spotlessly clean, beautifully renovated, quiet, comfortable...there was nothing to fault. Damian's attention to detail was a delight, from the fresh flowers to chocolates and a few breakfast supplies, plenty of towels and extra blankets, generous tasteful furnishings, and a long bath and heated towel rack in the beautifully renovated bathroom.
The neighborhood was quiet and pleasant and the location was very convenient, being only 10-15 min walk into the city centre and 20-30 mins to the harbour and Salamanca Square.
All the Information we needed was available in the Welcome Book.
As well as this, Damien was a wonderful host...friendly, welcoming and very helpful with any further information and tips, whilst remaining unobtrusive during our stay.
I would highly recommend sixty-one to anyone coming to Hobart and look forward to staying there again one day.
Thank you Damian for a wonderful stay!
