Our house is situated downtown, in the beautiful, historic area called Cabbagetown, which is known as "a small town in the heart of a big city".
The BEDROOM is light, airy and quiet. It has a queen sized bed, with a comfy pillow-top mattress.
The BATHROOM is next to the bedroom, and may be shared with one other single room.
Our pretty street is only a 4 min walk to busy Parliament street, with its excellent pubs, restaurants and coffee shops, and the streetcar/bus which connects to the subway.
The view from your window is of the historical 'back lanes' of Toronto. The room has a flat screen TV and a small fridge.
Fresh bed linen, bath towels, shampoo, cond and hairdryer are provided.
We let out 2 other bedrooms in the house.

Interaction with Guests
You are completely independent. You receive your own front door code before you arrive, and are then free to come and go as you please. I live in the basement apartment, and am always available to give any help I can.
For guests new to the site - once you have checked in to your freshly cleaned and prepared bedroom, beds are not made up thereafter, nor do we serve breakfast, but complimentary tea, coffee and hot chocolate are available at all times.
Please take your shoes off in the house - to minimize noise on the staircase, and not disturb other guests.
It is a non-smoking house.
Gailo and her husband are so nice. We arrived so late, but she still waited for us and gave a warm welcome. I love everything in her house, and her room is pretty tidy and decorated. Recommend to you!
Gailo was a wonderful host and her place was excellent. I had an extended stay here and it was both a wonderful location and a pleasant, clean experience. I will remember this place in the future.
My wife and me came to visit Toronto at our first time on that weekend. Our staying was very comfort at that hearty home of Gailo and James. The old style home is clean and very cosy. High ceiling and a lot of fresh air.
From the very beginning Gailo took a great care of us starting from helping with my Airbnb account issue treatment to detailed and clear instructions on how to reach their house in the best way - we were going to arrive at Toronto Union Station by rail at 9 PM and did not know the city at all. Very caring and thoughtful hosting from instructions on how to get to home and the room at after-hour (night) time to the perfectly prepared brochure with accommodation details - "on-board" wifi settings, nearest groceries, cafes and restaurants, tourist attractions and vouchers. Gailo has three beautiful cats which are not annoying but rather bringing special cosiness to the home, they are like the other members of family. You will love them if they even allow you to see them. ;)
Thank you so much indeed, Gailo! Our best wishes and warm regards to James and all your family members.
Gailo and her husband were fantastic! They were friendly and always open for conversation. The rooms were as pretty as they look on the pictures and we had a really great time staying in Toronto.
Gailo and her husband was totally 100% welcoming. My room and their house was full of charm, warmth and character and is in a very pretty part of Toronto.
I didn't spend much time in room as working but the bed was soooooo comfy and I slept really well.
A very thoughtful and friendly host and I had a super pleasant stay. Will return!
I was out of the house for most of my stay in Toronto due to the absolutely gorgeous weather, but Gailo was extremely friendly and helpful with everything. Very organized, a beautiful and comfortable room, and a lovely location. Would definitely recommend this!
Gailo was lovely, very hospitable and helpful. the room was exactly as pictured, very clean and peaceful. The house is situated in a very cute, clean neighborhood, a short walk to loads of restaurants and convenience shops. Also very close to the city center and hip districts. I really enjoyed my stay at Gailos and would definitely go back again.

My husband and I love travelling, mainly to Europe, but work tends to get in the way!. I adore animals, and entertaining.
Enjoy reading mysteries and biographies, knitting, and have 2 wonderful married children living in Toronto.
