  • Sherry and her husband were very good hosts. Sherry is very quick to respond to a text, but I never needed a quick response. There were no issues. As others have stated you need a car to get anywhere from their home. But there are plenty of good restaurants 5 minutes away. Sherry recommended 3 to me and all were as she portrayed them. One was a local BBQ type which was good. the second was an upscale cuisine restaurant which was very good. and the third was a healthy cuisine place that was excellent. I will let you book with Sherry to find out the names. If you want to get to Folly Beach you have a head start on anyone coming from downtown. I made it to the movie theater across town in Mt. Pleasant in 15 minutes. The only caveat I would express is, you have to climb 2 full flights on an exterior spiral staircase to get to the apartment--most can handle that, but not everyone. Bed was very comfortable.

  • My fiance and I really enjoyed staying at Sherry and Milton's apartment. Nicely furnished, delicious breakfast on the weekend, and a quick drive downtown. Great alternative to a hotel in Charleston.

  • Sherry and Milton are very nice hosts. The flat is very cosy, house and garden are very nice.

  • Sherry and Milton were fantastic! Our flight home was cancelled and they were so helpful and accommodating. They were expecting a winter storm and made plans to make sure we were taken care of should we be "stuck" in Charleston. Not that you could feel stuck in such a lovely place. The apartment was a great spot to come home to. Tons of amenities, everything in great condition (The spiral staircase that serves as your entrance was a bit worn, but very safe). Off the beaten path on James Island, but very conveniently between downtown and Folly Beach. Breakfast (on the weekend) was super delicious as well. Highly recommended!

  • Super cute and convenient for James Island. Everything was clean and easy.

  • This was a perfect location for our exploration of Charleston and the surrounding area. The space was very lovely (and just as pictured) and had everything we needed. The bottled water was greatly appreciated and Mom was so thankful for the oatmeal. We enjoyed a beautiful sunrise out by the water in the backyard. Sherry was a wonderful host!

  • Overall the stay was great! Very clean and cute apartment. The bed was very comfortable and the marsh view was everything we hoped for. However, the television had some issues that were never completely resolved during our stay. The other issue was that Charleston is famous for the great food and no great places delivered there. Might have been something to mention. Otherwise, great location if you want something relatively close to town and the airport, but more quiet. Thanks for hosting!

  • Sherry and Milton's place was just right for us! Sherry was very prompt in answering our questions and communicating before our arrival. She made a great breakfast for us on the Sunday of our stay and recommended some great places to visit around Charleston. The apartment itself was very nice and was perfect for the two of us. We very much enjoyed having a kitchen to use for some meals and a living space to relax in during our stay. We used the kayaks out on the river which was really cool. We would recommend Sherry and Milton's place to anyone planning a visit to Charleston.

  • We thoroughly enjoyed staying at Sherry's house on our recent visit to Charleston. It was the perfect setup for us. We had our own private bathroom, kitchenette, and living area. The bed was super comfy; great linens in both the bedroom and bathroom. Since we stayed over a weekend, Sherry made breakfast for us on Saturday and Sunday - she is an awesome cook! Their restaurant recommendations were great too - I had the best Greek salad at Mondo's; we had yummy pub food at The Smoky Oak by their house; and enjoyed Sangria Margaritas and nachos at Taco Boys in Folly Beach. Five stars for sure!

  • Sherry's home could not have been a nicer place to stay. While it is a seperate apartment, it is attached to the house that she lives in. She gave us complete privacy and was very responsive to texts and questions. The apartment was very clean and the view from their yard was great. You definitely need a car if you stay here, as it is a short drive to get anywhere.

Overall, a lovely experience and we thank you!
