Victoria is a lovely host, very organized and ready to make your stay as convenient as possible. The house is really cozy, tastefully decorated, and in a very nice neighborhood(supermarket, bus stop and Starbucks right around the corner, about two blocks from lake shore drive if you feel up for a stroll or jogging by the lake. The heater is indeed loud, but you don't need to keep it on all day long-the apartment is pretty warm. When I stayed there the temperature was 10 Fahrenheit and it was snowing like crazy, and I only turned it on for about 3-4 hours a day. Overall, very satisfied with my choice, it is the ultimate value for money deal. Definitely going for it again next time I'm in Chicago. Thanks a lot Victoria!
Victoria was a great host. Her place was clean and cozy and had everything we needed. We felt like it was in a great location, we could walk to a lot or grab a cab easily if we needed. And the area was lovely to stay in.
The hallway smelt a bit yucky but the apartment itself was fine and that's all that mattered to us.
We would definitely recommend a stay at Victoria's place if you're after something clean, tidy and cozy and in a great little location of Chicago.
Victoria's place was clean & comfortable--a great, centrally located retreat from the busy I conference I was attending. I would definitely recommend this spot to other travelers, especially ones who are staying in Chicago for professional reasons. Thanks, Victoria!
This is an older building in a gorgeous, established neighborhood that is wonderfully located. I am a light sleeper, and my ear plugs helped block out the sounds of the upstairs neighbors walking around on the old floors. I did not notice any street noise. The smoke smell in the hallway that other guests have mentioned did not enter the apartment at all.
Victoria is responsive and creative--the videos of how to get in, which way to turn to find the stairwell and apartment were helpful. The apartment was very clean. We did not use the kitchen or internet--this was a sleep and shower place for us. We would definitely stay here again.
I stayed for 4days on this house. When we entered we felt it's really small house. and we expected there are washer and dryer in the house but no. these are on the floor. And actually there are some strange smell, after then it comes out gas smell. actually this part made us uncomfortable. Also, a heater sound is so loud. However the location is great there are several bus just right corner. and decoration is pretty good.
Victoria's place was very nice and clean and well located to get to the next metro station within a few minutes. We didn't meet Victoria but she sent us all the information for the check-in and check-out, which worked with no problem. We would definitely recommend her appartement for a nice stay in Chicago.
I really want to thank Victoria for letting us stay in her great studio. I had no clue it was in such an affluent area until my Lyft drivers told me about the Gold District. The location is great and it's close to a small grocery store on the other side of the block.
Victoria was easy to get in touch with and very accommodating. Her place was easy to find, very clean, and exactly as described and photographed. I was in town for a few days to hunt for an apartment, so I mainly needed a place to sleep, shower, and escape the cold at night. This place was perfect for that. I'd recommend this spot to anyone who is planning a short term stay in Chicago.
Clean and a very nice apartment in a very good location.
Victoria, thank you so much for hosting!
