tanja arranged a transfer for 6 people at 50euro (420 kuna). this stopped right by the apartment. on arrival we were greeted by gloria, tanja's mother. she was very welcoming and showed us around.
the accomodation was lovely. clean, modern enough, airconditioned with three bathrooms. the patio was very large and the location was perfect. directly opposite the cable car just outside the walls. walking around town was so easy. a bakery and a newsagent is literally 10m and the supermarket is about 300 left out of the apartment.
6 lads and we all had a very comfortable stay. there is only one airconditioning unit which makes the communal space lovely and cool. unfortunately the bedrooms were quite hot but this is the only negative.
this is a real secret gem of a find, it was perfect.
This was the best house ever! We were a group of seven and this was just perfect. So much room, comfortable bedrooms and modern bathrooms. The kitchen was a blessing and we were very happy to be able to use the outdoor bbq for our dinners. The open shared space is very large and fit our group perfectly. You can't beat the location and we will definitely stay here again.
We (3 of us celebrating a 50th birthday) stayed in House Dubrava in mid July 2013. We could not have been happier! The shaded terrace was spectacular, complete with comfortable loungers, a vine covered pergola and a lovely view! We had to tear ourselves away from it in order to see more of beautiful Dubrovnik!. The house is in an excellent location just outside the old town walls. The 3 bedroom, 3 bathroom house is large, clean, well-furnished, beds are comfortable, wifi was excellent and the air conditioning was a blessing in 35C heat!
Unfortunately, we did not meet Tanja (the agent) but Gloria, Tanja's mother and the on-the-ground property manager, is an absolute treasure! She made sure we had everything we needed, and then some! We were 12 hours late arriving from Canada...as it was very late, Gloria even brought us a midnight snack! Our luggage was delayed until the next day....and Gloria was a huge help in organizing delivery to the house. I would like to suggest that a coffee maker and/or a tea pot be provided and maybe a few more dishes - like a pitcher and some larger serving bowls. However, we were able to improvise.
All in all, an excellent property in a stunning city...complete with a fabulous host! Without question, we would definitely stay in House Dubrava again!!!
This house is spacious and comfortable for 6 guests, and very close to the old castle walls! Couldn't have asked for better. Strong wifi and an ATM and bakery nearby down on the street below. Good a/c too. There is one included parking spot.
The apartment was absolutely fabulous. Gloria greeted us and was super nice. The apartment is in the perfect location, just one street from old town. It was perfect for a good sized group. There was 7 of us and we had plenty of room. It was spacious and the outside terrace is absolutely amazing. You over look old town and everything you need is very close: restaurants, bars, beach, grocery, etc. I definitely would stay here again and recommend to anyone!
Tanya was a wonderful host. We were greeted by her mother and beautiful little daughter, who made sure we were happy with our accommodations. We were delighted with the comfortable surroundings, the closeness to the old town. We were delighted with the morning trips to the nearby bakery for delicious pasties and coffee, and to another little fruit store where we enjoyed fresh apples, nuts and apricots.
I would recommend Tanya's tours. She took us to Medugorie for a day trip, where she led us to the highlights of the town. She is articulate and speaks excellent English.
We were able to do our laundry while there, and enjoyed the covered patio in the front of the house.Wi Fi worked well there, too.
I would stay there again!
The apartment was great! We were quite a large group (8) and managed to fit into it with no problems. Everything was spotless and more than enough space for everyone to relax. The location was by far the best - just outside the city walls and only a few minutes to walk in. Dubrovnik city has lots of very steep stairs, so we especially enjoyed staying outside of the city which meant we didn't have to carry our suitcases up and down those stairs! Tanya also took us on a walking tour of the city which was really informative and gave us a great introduction to Dubrovnik and Croatia. Many thanks!!
The house is very well located allowing us to tour the city-
The house is large and allows many people to stay without losing privacy as it has 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. The house has everything you need to stay, I recommend it for its location unbeatable.
This is a big house with plenty of space in very close proximity to the old town. A very short walk gets you to the bustling old town with endless cafes, restaurants and everything else to do. We were glad we weren't staying in the old town as the house was quieter but still close to everything you will do in Dubrovnik, including the local beach. Tanja was a fabulous host and very helpful with everything from advice on activities and sights to transport. She was very professional and warm to our family and the communication was always prompt. I would definitely stay at Dubrava House or the other houses Tanya manages.
