Riggsville now known as Robinhood is a quaint and historic village on Georgetown island. Rich in history, this island community remains much as it was. Next door to the schoolhouse is Robinhood Free Meetinghouse that offers coffee, baked goods and breakfast fare on weekends and music venues during the week. A short walk (1/2 mile) is Derecktor/Robinhood Marina and the Osprey restaurant. Reid State Park is a ten minute drive with sandy and rocky beaches. Walking trails are numerous on the island.

This home is very cozy and relaxing. Very roomy with a great kitchen and dining area. All aspects of hosting a nice house have been heeded. Hosts are welcoming and gracious. Close to a marina, restaurant, beaches, swim pond, hiking, and coffee and scones across the street each am. I would definitely like to return when in town.

This house is bigger than it shows in the pictures. Lots of room and space. Big kitchen, two living rooms and two bathrooms made it very comfortable for all of us. We loved the history of the original part of the house. Very beautiful. Doug and Angie were accommodating with anything we needed.

This is a historic school-house located in a quiet accessible location. It was roomy for 4 adults and 2 children. (2 full bathrooms, shower and tub) The hosts had great local advice and gave us free range with a nice vegetable garden- and had a beach pass that we used daily. The kitchen was well supplied with herbs and fresh spices and a range that was easy to use. Other highlights 1-The Meeting house cafe next door had fresh, very good coffee in the morning and live music on some nights. (Carlos the owner had great food and advice, the morning supply of breakfast treats was just right) 2-A nice garden with a bird feeder with good traffic. 3- A sunroom with a garden and bird feeder view. 4-Games and library were fun.

Doug and Angie are quick to respond to you and their home is comfortable and lovely. A very scenic and historic home not just a house. Close to the many attractions: beaches, harbors quaint towns, and the Maritime Museum. It is very easy to bake Maine blueberry pie in their kitchen. The whole house smelled delightful.

We had a amazing time. The house is beautiful and it was cooler inside than I expected. There was plenty of room for my family of 7. There is so much to do within an hours drive, wish we could have stayed longer. The fresh lettuce and strawberries from the garden were amazing and it was just really nice.

Doug and Angie are excellent hosts. Their place is clean, tastefully furnished and decorated, and comfortable. It is also easy to find. The hosts were very helpful and generous with us, even sharing fresh strawberries from their garden. We loved staying there!

We enjoyed Doug and Angie's rental for two weeks. Different family members came and went during my time here and it was wonderful to cook breakfast in if we wanted or have tea and catch up late into the evening. They accommodated our various guest configurations by putting an extra mattress in for us even. At arrival Doug showed me around and Angie had even left a jar of her blueberry jam for us. Loved the area and the options of being tourists (lots in the area to see and do) or just staying in on a rainy day with a good book. Thanks for hosting us and introducing us to a new area of Maine, from the local perspective!

We are a homesteading couple that love the outdoors, sailing, good local food and good company. We look forward to meeting people that appreciate what our area has to offer. Robinhood is a quiet village we love to call home where life by the shore grants us many pleasures. We grow our own vegetables that we like to share with guests.
Angie is a twice published children's book author and also enjoys making hand knit farm animals and other items available in local stores and her Etsy site Maine Farm Creations.
