Warning! - This place is not what it seems. Firstly the room that we were given had a broken glass window that didn't lock and it opened to a dark dingy hallway. They offered me another room and the there was a blood stain on the bed!! The whole place was super dirty and looks like its rented by the hour... We chose to walk away and forfeit the payment. Oh ya- there was no internet as promised as well.
We found a great clean and connected places for the same low price right across the street. Overall the town was beautiful and we didn't let this bad experience effect our trip.
Sorry Freddy, you need to work to make your place rentable.
Posto molto squallido.
Internet non funzionava, non c'era acqua calda, anzi, a volte non c'era proprio l'acqua.
Odore molto forte di wc in tutto l'ostello e nella stanza.
Unica nota positiva: ci sono venuti a prendere alla stazione.
The host was very nice and offered to pick us up from the train station when we arrived. The room was nice and clean and the hostel experience was positive, overall. It was close to the hot springs and good restaurants.
My boyfriend and I stayed here for one night during our trip to Machu Picchu. Freddy is very nice and welcoming, and even with the language barrier we were able to communicate just fine. The room is basic, but is nice to have your own bathroom. We did not have breakfast in the morning so cannot comment on that, but there are also plenty of restaurants along the same street. When we checked out we were able to leave our bags for the day while we toured MP. Overall this was a good place to stay for one night in Aguas Calientes.
Freddy said he would meet us at the train station to take us to the hostel but did not show up. It was still fairly easy to find the place. The room was clean and it had all of the amenities we needed. Freddy packed us a light breakfast to go when we had to leave early in the am.
Freddy made us very welcome and accommodation was good.the locality was good.comfortable.
It had everything we need but some concerns. Bed sheets and pillows were very damp. We just managed to sleep on top of the blankets. Bathroom was clean but we didn't have water in the morning! Lastly, breakfast in the morning isn't really breakfast, but we didn't really care about that.
