A wonderful find in historic Cardigan. Penny made us feel incredible welcome, was great fun and a font of local knowledge! The apartment building is steeped in history - some of which is still a mystery. The apartment itself is beautiful, a mix of modern and old, tastefully decorated by Penny and impeccably clean with some thoughtful touches such as the lovely flowers and extra blankets. Everything you may require is at hand - even some ordnance survey maps for you to take in some local walking. The castle in Cardigan has recently undergone a major renovation and with the apartment directly opposite it is well placed for visiting the town, theatre and castle events and of course exploring further afield if you so wish. In a nutshell the apartment is just perfect.
We had a great stay at Penny's place. It was exactly as described and exactly in line with all the other positive Airbnb reviews that we read before we booked and travelled. Penny was attentive on our arrival and couldn't have been any more helpful. The apartment was clean and well kitted out.
We are first time users of Airbnb and based on this experience, it won't be the last!
The apartment was exactly as stated and Penny made us feel very welcome. Well worth th equity visit.
Penny came to meet us immediately after our 5 hour journey to show us round the gorgeous airy apartment. She said if we had any questions at all to ring or text her mobile and also provided a useful list of phone numbers along with a plethora of tourist info on the drawers on the landing which was useful.
The apartment is even nicer than the pictures and lovely and quiet despite the excellent central location by the river and down the road from the castle. Penny provided nice touches like towels, coffee facilities and a DVD player which made our stay extra comfortable. The shower was good, the bed was super comfy and the little kitchen was great for making breakfast.
A lovely relaxing stay thank you so much.
Penny was a very accommodating, warm and fun host. She even knows how essential it is for one to have tea when you arrive-such a gem!
Penny's place is a little haven. Perfectly located in Cardigan with beautiful walks on your doorstop (we recommend the Otter trail just over the river) and beauty spots, such as Mwnt, short drives away. The location allows you to cover a lot of ground in a short space of time. Do consider visiting New Quay if you fancy a dolphin spotting boat trip and a good walk from Poppit Sands to Newport via the coastal path.
The room itself is a space of peace and tranquillity with all the things you require for a comfortable stay. It was beautifully clean and fresh when we arrived with the lovely touch of some fresh flowers on the kitchen top. No complaints at all!
Thank you for a thoroughly wonderful stay. We look forward to returning!
Penny was a wonderful host. We arrived late when everything was closing and she bought some groceries for us so we will have something to eat for breakfast. She also gave us useful advice about hiking in the area.
We really enjoyed staying in the apartment. The bed was incredibly comfortable and it was furnished very smartly with great attention to the smallest detail.
Its location was in the town center with plenty of parking place.
Overall, we enjoyed our stay and we thank Penny for having us over.
It was an excellent decision to choose Penny's Loft apartment in Cardigan as our first stop for our honeymoon trip. It's a lovely room well beyond our expectations, it's extremely clean and tidy and tastefully decorated. The kitchen area is compact and fully equipped for almost any meal you would wish to make. Also penny is very welcoming and informative, we spent four nights there and almost visited around the whole Ceredigion coast, the co-operative food is just I minute walk from the door. The community in cardigan is very friendly and comforting, in a word, Everything is marvellous, it's really a place worth revisiting, thank you again, penny.
About the Host, Penny
I'm a dedicated airbnb host, like you I love exploring and meeting new folks. Staying somewhere which makes you feel good is what its all about and I love to deliver. I've hit the jackpot here when it comes to living in a great community, scenic country side and playing about in the sea. As much as I love visiting friends & family in other parts of the country, its good to come home and be amongst friends.
