  • Great place to stop. The house is perfect as a base to visit the town, but the privacy of the veranda meant that we could nurse our hangovers in the sun.

Would definitely recommend to anyone visiting Granada.

Thanks guys - had a brilliant time.

  • We had a nice stay in Nieves home. It was plenty large for 4 adults. We were met on arrival our GPS led the way. Very twisty narrow streets. We loved the roof top patio the views are amazing. . The walk to and from this house from the city center us quite strenuous. We did it several times a day and our legs were tired. The city bus does come frequently but we chose to walk. The bathrooms had good water pressure and plenty of hot water. We cooked breakfast each morning and found the kitchen adequately stocked with basics. Beds were comfortable. We enjoyed getting food at the outdoor market in the albycin just uphill from the flat. Also we really appreciated all the guide books and maps.

  • We thoroughly enjoyed our time at Neive's apartment. Neive's was flexibly with our arrival time. We had a car in the south of Spain and were not completely sure of our arrival time. We were able to make arrangements to drop our luggage off to Neives and get the keys which was good. The best thing about the apartment was the rooftop dining area with views of the Alhumbra. The apartment is located close to a square with some nice restaurants. A bus that takes you to the city also stops at this square. The area is quite hilly. The apartment is clean and was quite warm.

  • Nieves' husband met us at the flat once we arrived (no real issues there although had to wait a few minutes as he wasn;t immediately answering his phone) He gave us a nice overview of the apartment features (including the roof terrace) and the best features of the local neighborhood (attractions, markets, restaurants, etc) They live very close so easy to get a hold of them if need be. We thought the flat was great. Very spacious, set over three floors and the terrace was nice to sit in in the evenings. Great views of Alhambra and the Sierra Nevada! Only fault was we couldn't work out how to use the air conditioning (or if it even worked) although they did provide a fan so we didn't kick up a fuss about it. (Probably would have if it was the height of summer though!) All in all a nice stay and would recommend.

  • This is one of the best experiences we have had so far on our trip. The location was perfect in the old town with magnificent views from the terrace ( where we had breakfast every morning) of the Alhumbra, Sierra Nevada and overlooking Granada. A great restaurant in the Piazza at the top,of the street. The home was spotless and clean and had everything you needed for a stay. The photos and view are as you see on airbnb. Our hosts were available and answered any questions and met us when we arrived . I would recommend this stay to everyone who wants to enjoy the authentic part of Granada.

  • Both Nieves and her husband are very lovely. We instantly connected; I loved the fact that they themselves are world-travelers and was very much intrigued by their story about visiting Nepal.

They were also very patient with us even though we arrived later than our intended arrival time and they were already late to their son's performance at school. They even spare some more time giving us a map of the area, with already-marked restaurants and places of interest, and directions.

If you need just one persuasive reason to stay at their listing, it has to be the view of the Alhambra from their rooftop (which in itself is very lovely). My friend Chris was able to take some photos of the Alhambra from the rooftop, one night when the full moon was shining right on top of it. The result was an amazing professional-look-a-like wallpaper photo. The next night we made use of the rooftop to sit around enjoying the bottle of wine they gave us, while everyone in Granada seemed to be at the local bars watching Spain battling the Netherlands in the World Cup.

We drove to Granada and was able to use their parking spot (for a fee). Nieves' husband was very attentive in escorting us to the parking lot and out of the parking lot when we left.

The house itself (aside from the awesome rooftop) has a feeling of a home away from home. It is very true to the depictions and to the photos plus a feeling of coziness that you can only experience by staying there.

Thank you very much Nieves and husband for making our stay in Granada that more enjoyable. We love Granada and I personally vow to return and spend at least a week doing more exploration and more eating of the excellent food and gelato :). I hope to see you then!

  • If all I could report was that this apartment was in a fantastic location in the maze-like old Moorish quarter of town, the Albacyn; that the apartment was very clean and well-appointed; that the rooftop terrace overlooked the Alhambra and the still-snow-capped-in-early-June Sierra Nevada mountains; and that it was within a one-minute walk to the nice little Plaza of San Miguel Bajo, which was surrounded by five or six tavernas/restaurants (our favorite: El Aji, hands down!), that would be sufficient to give this apartment, where we spent four nights, a five-star recommendation.

Added to that mix, however, was the absolutely above-and-beyond-the-call-of-duty attention and assistance provided by the lovely Nieves and Tino, which really put this apartment rental over the top. I don't necessarily want to spell out the myriad ways in which Tino, in particular, assisted and communicated with us, as that might set up unrealistic expectations in future rental guests, but suffice it to say he did much more to make our stay wonderful than anyone reasonably could have expected (and I suspect he and Nieves are that way with all their guests, not just because Tino, (email hidden), was exercising "professional courtesy" with this lawyer).

I have only one very minor caveat: the apartment is on two levels (living room/kitchen/bathroom on the first floor and bedrooms/bathroom on the second floor), with the rooftop terrace (and small washer/dryer) on the third level, all reached by a relatively narrow and winding staircase. So for those with more than moderate mobility limitations, this might not necessarily be the best choice. Apart from that, I recommend this apartment rental without qualification and with the highest praise.

  • The place is very clean, well-appointed and perfectly located in the Albayzin. We especially enjoyed having breakfast on the wonderful terrasse with this breathtaking view of the Alhambra. Tino and Nieves gave us a very warm welcome so that we felt very comfortable from the start. We enjoyed our stay very much and highly recommend the place.
