Interaction with Guests
Monika will be your onsite hostess. She can arrange tours, provide information about the area, and book taxis.
The Osa Peninsula is a magical place full of wild life. If you're looking to get away from it all and relax, this is the place for you.
There are local taxis, two rental car companies, and a local colectivo (public transportation).
The home is located in a remote jungle area off the grid. We expect guests to respect the nature around them and be conscious of their energy consumption.
We had an incredible time at the Osa and the accommodations were incredible. Cabo Sombrero is a beautiful place with plenty of privacy and wild life. The almond trees surrounding the house were filled with scarlet macaws all day long. The beach was beautiful and virtually deserted. The grounds were immaculate. Monika was very helpful, accommodating and a joy to talk to. We hope to return with the kids the next time.

About the Host, Gretchen
I moved to Costa Rica from Seattle in 2003. I love the laid back lifestyle of Costa Rica and the incredible wildlife on the Osa Peninsula. I work as the booking agent for the three beachfront houses and eight tent cabinas that make up Boca Sombrero.
