Public transport offers you a good connection to all the principal city spot. The area is animated with bars and restaurants shops and grocery stores.
Every museum or historical building is located no more then 10 minutes distance on foot.
Everything was good, didnt meet the host, but everything went well.
The apartment was clean and a great amount of space for two people. It was also really beautiful--a mix of old and new. The washing machine was a welcome amenity as well. The location was very convenient!
Most importantly we do like the place as it's in a fantastic location, spacious and cozy as advertised.
They are also helpful in recommending restaurants and where everyone watched the World Cup. They are five minutes late to meeting us - not too bad.
A couple of points for others' consideration: lots of lights somehow do not have lightbulbs and the so-called private shower room is very small (but the bathroom itself large). The forty dollar cleaning fee is still not very reasonable - they did list it in the post so you can't blame them.
Reasonable unit, very original Italian feel!
Great apartment in a fantastic location. We were met on time and provided with maps and some local info on the best places to eat and visit. Would definately return. Thanks!
The is no better way to investigate Florence and live in Luca's apartment! Close to all main sightseengs of Florence. And very comfortable and interesting place by itself. Thanks Luca for providing us info about his favorite cafes, we visited several and they were really fantastic. You have to book this apartment and feel how wonderful it is!
Very very very central and beautiful location, great for city sightseeing as well as for bars and restaurants. Apartment is small but has perfect size for couple. Simple but nice interior, big size bathroom, very comfortable bed. It's a very tall building so third floor might be not suitable for someone with walking difficulty, no lift in the building.
Overall I can highly recommend this place - I was staying with my girlfriend and she likes it very much.
The only issue which we had was €40 cleaning fee to be paid in cash upon check in or check out. It was in terms and condition and part of the deal - fair enough but if you keep in mind the size of the apartment - cleaning won't take longer than half an hour maximum so €40 it's a lot. ! I live in London and you are paying here cleaning lady £10 per hour so I'm no sure why cleaning fee is so high.
This is really a nice and airy apartment! We stay there for 4 nights and really enjoyed our stay. It is very well located and all the major sites are within walking distance.
Luca’s associate, Julio, met us at the apartment. He explained to us that the building owner decided to change the front door lock earlier that day without informing them, so he had to go retrieve the key. He took our luggage to their office nearby (which we followed him to make sure that it was legit, of course), and he met up with us about 45 minutes later with our luggage. For our trouble, they waived the cleaning fee, which was a very nice gesture!
There is a nice wine bar on Pitti Plaza right around the corner, and Santa Spirito Plaza is only one and a half block away with good restaurants (and market stalls during the day). There are many artisan and antique shops right in the neighborhood. Luca also made a reservation for a restaurant on our behalf. We would definitely stay there again!
My husband and I love the location. You can see Piti Palace from the apartment window, and walking distance from other attractions such as Ponte Vecchio. If you've been traveling for a few days and started missing fresh smelling clothes, this place comes with washer! The only thing we wish it has is an elevator, but we got used to the stairs eventually. Great location, great neighborhood, we will stay again next time we're in Florence
Luca was very helpful. This apartment definitely has character and quite central as it's literal across the Pitti Palace. It's also very clean and big. There is no elevator so you will need to walk up 4 flights of stairs. I would stay here again!
