Surely, you will experience living in a fantastic apartment in NYC while saving a few bucks from pricey NYC hotels that are located in the heart of the tourist frenzy areas in midtown. It's very clean and has things no hotel can offer.
This is available for rentals of 3 nights or more. However, if you are seeking a stay only 1 or 2 nights, it is possible to do so, if it precedes or adds to an existing reservation.
The Building and Neighborhood: It's located on a fairly quiet street across from a school (quiet at night) and a road that has less than average travel. It's about a 2 minute walk to the nearest subway (L Train) and 1 minute to a bus.
The unit has a fully stocked kitchen: full size fridge/freezer, dishwasher, gas stove/oven, microwave, top of the line stainless cookware, utensils, dishware, glassware and decent closet space for luggage and clothing.
ADDITIONAL INFO / CHARGES:
A security deposit of $ 500 charged to the card you book it with a day before arrival, which you will get back at check out unless there are damaged or missing items, or if the apartment needs excessive cleaning or smells like cigarette smoke.
$ 285/night based on 4 people, 3 night minimum stay. I will allow stays less than 3 nights if they precede or add to an existing reservation. Stays on weekends only FRI - MON, it's an extra 50/night.
Extra people charges are $ 25/night per person after 4 people, with maximum of 6 people.
Cleaning charges: $ 100. For stays longer than 10 nights, an extra $ 100 cleaning charge as the house cleaner will come after the 7th night to clean the apartment and launder the sheets and towels. This fee will be paid directly to the house cleaner.
Linens: Clean when you arrive. If you wish to clean sheets while you are here, there is a laundry room in the basement to do yourself, or I can arrange to have my house cleaner come and she will charge you accordingly.
Breakfast Items: Included in price: Coffee, Tea, Juice, Fruits, Pastries or Bagels or Cereal, milk, jams, butter, etc.. I will take your order after you book it.
If you're interested in booking, please shoot me an inquiry with total # of people in your group, primary reason for coming to NYC and any other info you might think would be helpful for me to ensure my place accommodates your group perfectly.
It would also be helpful to state your level of interest and when you intend to book something to ensure a speedy response. I try as to respond as fast as possible, but if it's it's no rush on your end, please inform me.
Hope to see you soon!

The highly desired neighborhood is quite lively after the sun goes down. The East Village has been heavily built up over the last 5-10 years and located on the East side of Manhattan from 14th St down to Houston (same as street zero) which borders the LES (Lower East Side). Tompkins Square Park is 2 blocks away.
The East Village offers over 400 restaurants, cafes, bars, shopping and a beautiful park which has a few playgrounds for kids, basketball courts, dog run and plenty of benches and grassy areas to relax. You can walk to Indian, Russian, Italian, Mexican, Japanese, Chinese, Thai, Vegetarian and American restaurants within a 5 block radius. If you're too tired and beat up from touring NYC and don't feel like going anywhere, you can simply order in and have anything delivered to the room (usually until 11 pm or midnight). And these little privately owned restaurants are MUCH better than midtown/tourist-trap food chain places. There are at least three 24/hr places to eat within 2 blocks. About 90% of the buildings in the area are walk-ups and this has an elevator. There are about 50 restaurant/bars/cafe's within a 3 block radius and probably 500 within a 10 block radius.

Fantastic experience at Bruce and Cindy's apartment. The hosts went above and beyond with kindness, were extremely responsive/quick to any needs, and provided thorough instructions on anything we would need. The location is awesome with many great establishments within short walking distance. Subway access was also convenient with the L to then connect to any of the other mainlines. Would definitely stay again
Fantastic apartment in a perfect neighborhood. Bruce was a really good host with lots of great information about the city. The Apartment was clean well functioning. There was no problem at all for us to sleep 7 people in the apartment.
notre séjour à New York est inoubliable! L'appartement vraiment confortable avec tout ce que nous avions besoin.
L'emplacement idéal pour les jeunes qui veulent sortir le soir. Calme la nuit nous pouvions bien dormir.
L'immeuble est très bien avec un gardien 24h/24.
This place is awesome. Large enough for 6 people, a good size kitchen, even though we never used it because there are restaurants and dinners everywhere. The view from the rooftop is spectacular
I went to NYC for a family trip. We were a group of 6 and the apartment was just perfect for us. Comfortable, new, great location and clean. There wasn't one single point to complain about it.
Everything worked fine and Bruce was the nicest as a host can be. Always available and ready to help.
I strongly recommend this apartment.
This was our first experience with airbnb - and the first time we were in NY. Both were really great! When we arrived the doorman (who were all very friendly and in for friendly chat) showed us the appartement, where Bruce was already waiting for us. Bruce is a great host and a very nice person. Everything in the apt was new, and we loved the place.
The apartment was very clean, and Bruce had provided for bread, milk, OJ, etc when we arrived.
Enough space for the 4 of us, and everything we could need was there. Well, nearly everything because when we mailed Bruce because we could not find a corkscrew, he arrived within 5 minutes with a new corkscrew...
It was very clean when we arrived.
Beds were great, and there is tv in every room. The rooftop terras is truly amazing. We really felt like at home, and felt like living in the East Village (what a great neighbourhood). This we would never have felt, staying in a hotel, we're sure of that.
Apart from all this, Bruce was very caring, and left his cell phone number, urging us to call him if there were questions or if we were in trouble of somekind.
All and all...we highly recommend this appartement to everybody who loves a great place to stay in a fantastic neighbourhood and a truly amazing host. We will defenitly return!
Our fantastic stay in NYC started as soon as I made contact with Bruce, he immediately responded to my reservation enquiry and tons of questions and provided lots of info to help us enjoy our stay fully. The apartment was not yet furnished when we booked, as new, but he uploaded lots of pictures before we travelled so we could see it ready, it is a very nice touch. Our phone had been playing up but Bruce was very patient and trusty and just waited for us. Do you know any host who would be as patient and considered? We had no contact to finalise key collection and arrival time but Bruce was there waiting and I thank him very much for this. The flat has a nice layout and 6 of us had plenty room and a set of keys for each was a nice touch! East village is a great location; we walked for hours to visit NYC and parked the car for free thanks to Bruce who kept space for us, lots of restaurants and bars around so no need to go all over NYC to have a good meal. We had a great time and I would certainly return to visit Bruce even just the two of us!

Clean and conveniently located in nice area.
Bruce is a wonderful host, reachable for any question.
We definitely recommend and hope to be back soon.
