About this listing
A spacious apartment with a big livingroom with a ceiling of traditional old beams.
The apartment is at the ground floor, and is part of a big palace-house from the XVIII century. This palace-house has a big roof terrace which - upon request - can be used by this apartment also but the access to the terrace is INDIRECT by a door on the back of the building and you have to climb four (comfortable) stairs. In the palace-house we have 3 more holiday apartments, so for groups or bigger families a combination of more apartments can be booked.
The apartment has 1 bedroom with a double bed, and a sofa bed for 2 persons in the livingroom. And it has 1 bathroom with shower. The apartment is completely equipped; with airco, heating, washing machine, dryer, oven, microwave, electric stove, FREE WIFI, and SATELITE TV.
It is situated right in the historical heart of Jerez, at 1 minute walk to the restaurants, tapas bars, shops, and highlights of the city. There is free parking at 10 min walk, and paid parking at 3 min walk from the apartment.
Fabulous property that lives up to the description. Couple of minted walk to main parts of town, restaurants, plazas etc. Jeanne is always welcoming and helpful, arranging taxis and recommending places to eat and do.
Jeanne went out of her way waiting for us to arrive almost at midnight. The apartment is cosy and well equipped, in a very quiet neighborhood, very close to shops, restaurants, bars and a pharmacy. The air-conditioner was a blessing with temperatures in Jerez at 40ºC.
Jeanne is a perfect host. She had many tips for us and answered all our questions. She was also very kind in arranging us a taxi to the airport. The apartment is spacious and as decribed and has everything and more than what you need for your stay. The location is perfect as it is on a quiet small street in the heart of the old city.
Ha sido todo perfecto. No hemos tenido ningun tipo de problema y Jeanne estaba muy pendiente por si necesitabamos algo. Muchas gracias por todo.
We loved our stay in Jerez due, in no small part, to Jeanne's charming apartment. The location is excellent, and the apartment comfortable, clean and had all that we needed for an enjoyable stay. The use of the roof terrace was an added bonus, with wonderful views of the city. Jeanne provided us with the information we needed to enjoy and find our way around the area, and kindly
arranged for a taxi to take us back to the train station. We highly recommend this apartment.
We thoroughly enjoyed our 2 day visit to Jerez and our stay at Jeanne's apt. We were warmly welcomed by Jeanne who guided us thru their wonderfully eclectic styled building of several floors arriving at the breath taking open top floor (accessible to all occupants) with panoramic views of Jerez. Our room was on the ground floor of the renovated building achieved by Jeanne and her husband who also happens to be an architect. The room was as described to us prior to our arrival with unique design and utility accents. The bed is King sized with a large sized fridge for decent stocking. The bathroom was adequately set up and had novel proprietary design features. The apt. building is located in the center of the Old Historic Center (Casco Antigo) with narrow winding roads and historic buildings along the way. There is a very nice small square within a short walking distance that also has 2-3 good restaurants. All in all good ingredients for a nice stay and memorable experiences.
My bf and I had a lovely long weekend in Jerez at Jeanne's apt. It was located in a superbly central area near many cafes, restaurants, shops and bars. Jeanne's recommendations for food were spot on and her wifi was super fast for skyping home and researching the area. All in all Jeanne was a fantastic host - painstakingly helping us find our way to the apt when we got lost on arrival into Jerez (which is a labyrinth!). We learned that next time, GPS is a must! We survived alright though since Jeanne had thoughtfully left out city maps for us. The apt itself is ground floor, along a teeny weeny street (charming), and very cooling (it was 35°C outside!). The apt was a little musty at times but turning on the AC or opening the windows cleared that up with no problem. All in all - we had an excellent stay. Thanks Jeanne!
